    DUDEEEEEEE OMG!!!!! I've been trying to unlock this scream for MONTHS. Literally this exorcise did it. NO ONE else on youtube explained that the power of this scream is through the nose and not the throat. THAT was what unlocked it for me! Thank you so much!

      In my case, it took a couple of years xD I was doing something between a high pitched yell scream and false chord for 7 years until I've changed it but it took so long because I didn't look for a new technique and sticked with the old ways instead. During lessons with my students it usually require 2 or 3 sessions.

      Make sure you stay in your own vocal range, you probably can’t go that high because your vocal break is lower than his and there for your range is lower and pushing too hard to reach or replicate his high can hurt you

      It's day 2 of learning highs and I've opened more high sounds, also added to your sounds my own sounds that I'm comfortable with such as fast "Wow", prolonged "I" vowel with big smile and twang and imitation of a little dog barking sound like chihuahua! @@sibilaextremevocal

    When I go up in pitch it starts to hurt

    • @sibilaextremevocal
      @sibilaextremevocal  Před 3 měsíci +1

      It's important to discover how much you can increase the pitch or brighten the sound color of your scream without losing the correct (comfortable and good sounding) technique. If you will aim too high too early, it will be probably uncomfortable or won't sound too good.

    Sorry, I heard it can be dangerous technique [especially when using falsetto] (and the point is: it doesn't even hurt!)

      Every technique can be dangerous, if done improperly. Not only screaming but also singing techniques.

      In such a situation it's good to record yourself and check if achieve a proper sound quality. If you sound good and don't feel any discomfort, then it should be fine.

    • @sibilaextremevocal
      @sibilaextremevocal  Před 5 měsíci +3

      OK xD If you want, I can share with you a recording of one of my students who has a high scream that reminds of a combination of old Suicide Silence and BMTH, and he is very good.
      And if you want to tell me I can't do false chord highs, write it directly - no one will get offended, especially that I can easily prove I can do them, if the tutorial with very basic screams isn't enough.
      A tutorial isn't for me to show off but to help people learn something useful, starting with a basic sound.
