but this horse was leading horse upto the Final. In the Final rounds the course is only 1.50m but the Nations Cup two rounds are 1.60m and the Individual qualifying rounds are 1.55m or 1.60m. This little fellow (15.2 1/2 hh) was the 1988 Olympic Champion and the1987 European Champion beating the great Milton into silver medal position in that Euro. Final. After Nick (2012 Olympic Team Gold medalist) got off Jappeloup, he said Jappeloup was like a "little rubber ball". slán
Are you kidding? The mouth of the horse is constantly open! Oh yeah what a good ride! No offense, but Jappeloup was the horse of only one rider: Pierre Durand.
Sorry but he looks better with N.S.,that we saw him all the time with P.D. and we get used to see it that way doesn't mean that he wouldn't have a better career with someone else
Never , Jappeloup is dead in France....in the House of Pierre Durand .And Pierre Durand stopped ridding....He only wanted ridding whis Jappeloup ....a real Love Story....Non, Pierre Durand l a gardé....et n a jamais voulu remonter un autre cheval en concours
@@sparkless7106 yes but it is a Course where everybody had to ride with an other Horse, that he doesn't ride usally. And it is not very high (only 1,50 metre )Sorry , my english is not very good;at School I learnt German....and I am 58 Years old...
Clueless comments. The horse jumped clear over a world class course, ears pricked all the way, by a world class jockey with the best hands in the world! Numpty's
Monty 1 he likes to jump, of course his ears were pricked. No one's criticising him. This rider IS much harder on his mouth than Pierre was, and it's painfully obvious (for the viewer and the horse)
He was so little, look at the size of those oxers, and he jumps them like they were nothing! I very much enjoy watching this little horse :)
Best horse ever, but Pierre Durand and him were the best pair.
And he let his head alone Nick rides his so well...
Awesome Pony with such a horses heart as he was only 14.2hh ❤ xo

you can say what you like, the master Nick skelton puts him in deep at every fence and doesn't get a stop. Unlike PD
He’s the greatest ever show jumper. My hero for over 44 years

Nick Skelton est un bien meilleur cavalier que Pierre Durand. C'est pas la même ligue.

Se cheval et une légende
Reminder: he was only 15.1.
Now he got a rider on him with kind hands .😢😢
They don't do this anymore do they? Where riders do a round on each others horses?
I think no now is on the modern pentathlon who change the horse but is catastrophic
the great Abdullah was voted best horse.
Did pierre durand sell hil to skelton?
