Now THIS is how to do sales!! Respectfully and actually letting the customer make their own decisions. If there’s a value proposition they’ll bite if not so be it. Nice to see keep it up!!
Letting them make their own decisions? Haha no sirrr, he subconsciously steered this homeowner into doing what HE wanted them to do. 👏🏼 That’s an efficient salesman.
@@hazelcham3le0n1 Ok give me one reason why a homeowner wouldn't want solar
@@jwill5892 broski you misread my comment 😂 I’m a solar consultant myself, so I would mainly give you all the reasons why a homeowner WOULD want to go solar. What did you think I meant?
You still don't see the problem here ? Sola panels are a scam big one at that
Not sales but okay
Now this is a salesman. Professional and straight to the point. No bs
Wayyyy better than that window cleaning soy boy taking advantage of old people "*whispering* uhhhh it's usually $348 but we'll do it right now for $148, because we do discounts for ladies with hands on their hips 😎"
Ikr its so cringe
Lmao, fr tho😂

So I can use this same pitch ?🤔😃

I like how he sold him on it. He didn't act all weird by changing his voice or act over the top by showing how confident he is or act disrespectful. He was informative and helpful and not pushy. I love that. I would have bought solar panels as well.
Thank you. This is so much better salesmanship than that window cleaner guy. This is how it should be done. Straight to the point, polite, and no bullshit.
You gotta get the number, the bill, and confirm ownership of the house, I’m sure he asked but it wasn’t in the video
legends say the beat still hasnt dropped to this day
And we never needed it
still nothin
I got blue-balled
Still waiting
Damn his pitch is clean as hell, I can’t even pitch that clean in the mirror
Gotta love getting it locked in before you even get names out… means they like the idea. And you enough to get scheduled without feeling like they need your name and business info. Easy dub there! Nice!
This is straight forward to the point doesn't try and sell the service but inform them of the benefits he didn't corner him like the window cleaner
Coming from a guys who’s sold solar for over 4 years. Only thing I’d recommend is setting the correct intentions. You don’t want to come by just to drop off a report. You’ll typically get porched this way. You want to come back and go over the proposal with him inside the house. So setting the correct intention here is critical.
100% correct. You don't want to come off as too pushy and pressure a customer, but you also need to be up front about the intention and expected outcome of the visit. Something like: "I can come back tomorrow at 5 pm to review the proposal with you. If the numbers make sense, we can go through the next steps together, if not, that's totally okay, and at least you will will be better informed"
Facts
Exactly I'm in solar right now some of the reps out here make it seem like an information drop off guess what 0 closes 🤣
How much you make a year selling solar?
He's just the setter
Honest straight forward and just genuinely bringing value
So you made 9k by scheduling another appointment?😂 close the deal my boy
All the door to door Solar guys do is set appointments for the actual closer. They get paid around $125 for every appointment they set up then another $200ish if the closer actually gets a deal for them at the appointment. But yea the door to door guy doesn’t have to close shit, just get them to agree to meet again 😂
@@moneysignwhite you’re wrong as fuck. Companies pay different rates, and not all door knockers are setters. Some are self-gens that can close the deal then and there. You need to educate your self in the industry more.
@@moneysignwhite seems like decent money for just getting an appointment since most people are ok with just saying “sure I’ll schedule an appointment” even if they have no plan on following through
@@moneysignwhiteI work for a solar company they make a lot more than that my company pays 35% of the total sale to the appointment setter. If they only made a few hundred bucks per sale it would be hard to keep sales people since their 1099 employees.
If you think that solar setters only make $350 per sale you are asleep!
Quick indeed, he actually cut out some awkward scenes. Nice job though

Do you guys not realize that he's just going door-to-door setting appointments creating a warm contact that way when he goes back with the information of how much he can save them on their electric bill he's gained their trust but looking at this video you still don't know how honest he's going to be on the sale part of it so all these comments are stupid saying he's wonderful and honest
Carlos is killing it. That’s the right way to do a door approach
Excellent work.
Professional and friendly vibe. Very good job. Salesman, but not salesy. Taking notes as I start window washing business then when that can be ran by someone else, I’ll be moving to solar as the window washing as passive.
Hey I’ve just started going door to door for my driveway cleaning business. How is your business going for you?
@@monnieap How's it going for you.
Upfront and straight to the point with no games. Good job.
Screw his solar panels. I’m looking at that truck 👀
He said he has no more utility bill but he just it was just lowered. And not even more than half way gone. And he said I’m not here to sign you up or anything but he was there to sign him up.
He locked him in by putting the water bottle down.. Psychology in sales
Don’t forget the $5000 to remove the panels each time the roof is replaced.
Free if you use us 👍🏼 it’s in your contract
@@RealSalesDynamicshaha. Good one. You all will not be in business in the next 10-15 years. Will rename or start a new LLC. Then the home owner holds the bag. So your sales guy made 9k and then the company makes 20k+++? Sounds unethical to me. These panels last how long? It would take 50 years to pay themselves off. The homeowner would be dead.
And as soon as they are installed your roof leaks.
@@thomaswood5246yup
@@thomaswood5246actually that’s not true we’ve got our ours one of the largest across multiple states. I go 1 hours and there’s solar co. I’ve never even heard of so in their case that’s a good possibility. We have offices every 100 - 200 miles. Going strong. We can and will replace roof. Remove panels and we bolt them on rail through frame and our mount i water sealed and works and is shaped as a shingle. I however would never tell them there power bill would be cheaper right away if they say that run! It is a long term investment in a couple years once raises raise more than your current price is when you see the savings. 25 year warranty on contract panels, roof, hvac etc. we are a full energy solution company not just panels
That was smooth man. Rolled up and let him on the loop.
Very clean pitch bro

When does your utility bill start paying for itself?
@@RealSalesDynamics exactly haha
@robbiewilson2882 There is no money down so the ROI is instant not four years.
Thats incorrect
Secret to pitch sales give people the benefits ;)
Look it up there literally thousands of people getting scammed by this companies,
Your energy bill goes down and you inherit a new loan payment of 300 or so bucks more than your original bill
Actually not always does depend on the company like I work for a company where our lease agreement is you don’t pay anything monthly for the panels no installation cost and nothing out of pocket you just pay for the energy it produces essentially we become your energy company with that program people save between 40 to 60 percent so you’re literally paying nothing to save but again that’s our lease program so you don’t own the panels but you’re saving
This is very good selling
Email was keyword for this person in particular if you notice he said yes email works
For the customers who finance the panels…make sure you let them know they will have lien on their house for the panels until they are paid off.
How he made 9k if the deal hasn’t been made
He said the magic words automatic payment
I fucking love this
If you pay close attention to the clientele they close is mostly old people that can’t read the fine print or don’t know how to read the fine print
That’s scamming, elder abuse
Hate to break it to ya, honest salesmanship works great. There is value in solar, there is value in your customers referring you to a family friend. I have set appointments with every demographic none benefits more than the other, old people just are generally more respectful and humble. They know they don’t know everything and are always willing to listen to an expert talk in their field. If solar was a scam (which I’m not denying there are horrible companies ruining the industry) it would not have made such a large impact in our planet.
Spreading misinformation and slandering a helpful product is a shame my brother
In Kansas where I’m at, the minute Solar is mentioned is the minute the door is shut or the objections come. “Solar project” right off the bat just doesn’t work here. Now it has worked a couple times to people who have already been looking into solar. But other than that I don’t mention Solar until about half way thru the pitch. That way preoccupation has already been broken. Plus doesn’t give them an easy out to simply say “oh Solar not interested”.
That makes sense but what do you fill them In with until you get to the point where solar gets brought up? I'm around the area you are and I'm just trying to find what can work best around here
yeah Hi,,can I ask of the best spiel,,im working for setting an appointment,,but tryin so hard,,in illinois,,whenever you mention solar they just hang up
Nice work
Dude is both opener and closer
im shy af trying to get into sales.. the way i stutter when im nervous its crazy
I didn’t see a financial transaction
fr he didnt even sell anything
He didn’t make anything in 15 minutes. He made a cold call that might lead to a sale but that project sure as shit won’t take 15 minutes to bid, stock, and install.
And at the most he'll make about $700
@@ronburgurdy5226 those companies that door knock seem to disappear after a few years to open in a new market with a new name. The more popular things are water filters, roofing, various kinds of outdoor cleaning services. The only reason they knock during hours most people are at work is to target elderly people who are easily confused and intimidated.
net metering program go brazy
Did it close tho and get installed ?
I like, I might 🤔
F these guys on the chat you. YOU GOT iT. You close even better
Yeah the pitch is good but was the close good?
In tucson the solar market has been completely destroyed 😢 Litterly everyone and there mums tryna do solar out here, the first thing ppl say isnt "not interested".... its "are you with solar?" 😂
Electric mail 😂😂😂
Great if you’re the one going back and only offer a lease. Otherwise all you have is a first name and maybe his avg bill. You can’t send a rep out to that without any qualifying questions or making sure the spouse or significant other will be there as well. 90% of 1 legs have to talk to their spouse or cancel b/c they don’t know how to sell it to their partner. If you’re lucky, they’ll let you come back and “cancel the agreement” but then you’re making multiple trips to re-earn their business when you should be sitting with another opportunity.
He forgot to tell him that his bill went down but he then had an extra $500 payment for the solar installation and equipment
There's no 500 payment for installation or equipment
The company I work for qualifies people for 0 upfront costs, no installation fees, no down payment. If we can offset their energy usage and their solar payment is cheaper than their average energy bill then it makes the most sense for them to sign
@@huntererickson9240 how are companies making money this way?
@@IVAN2233 federal and state incentives for solar make the business profitable for the companies and allow the customers to realize savings.
@Ivan if solar wasn't a good idea, why would people who actually hear about it do it? The answer is because in some areas it makes sense financially. Check with your utility. If they have a net metering program, chances are it's cheaper than your utility.
if you're making 9k you're forcing a hardworking citizen into double what his payment could be for 10 years minimum
Make 10k in a week legally by going to school and studying
what school pays you 10k a week? also d2d isnt illegal
Thumbs up! 👍
Brandon mulrenin taught him well
What they don't tell you about solar. Yes, your electric bill will go down but you have to pay the solar company. In my case I would have 10 years before I broke even.
When do you break even with your utility bill though?
@@RealSalesDynamics sadly never.
With a solar payment it is inflation proof and never goes up like energy bills do. It doesn’t make sense to not go solar
Fire
I want his truck.
Simple no none sense pitch.
🙏🏼
I have friends being scammed in Solar , THIS IS ONLY if it closes lol!!!! And they take money from you for upgrades. Don’t believe they shit guys…have numerous friends in the industry
This is what many people who live in a prime location for solar are doing because they don't want to have another hike in energy
Great technique. However, he didn’t make $9k in 15 min.
Homeowner still has to be approved for financing. They still have to sign the contract. Permit approved and Solar has to be installed.
Bro is a closer you’d make like $2k+ setting the appointment for him depending on the company and system size
I can do that job. Sign me up
I was thinking about math behind this and it’s either:
A) 9k is not a profit, it’s overall cost of the equipment+labor
B) 9k is net revenue and the cost of overall equipment+labor is over 40-50k
Considering average 5% rise in utilities price:
A) break even is in about 7 years
B) break even is in about 40 years
All that considering the life expectancy of 25-30 years and nothing will break down along the way+annual solar panels cleanup for 200$, I’m calling it’s not worth it
9k is the commission, and the person getting the solar starts saving money from day 1
@@csugabo85 is there some kind of calculation behind this?
@@w140 basically it's like a loan payment, the last family I helped has their solar loan locked at 189 a month, and their average bill is 312 dollars and 270 at the lowest. So when I say they save money from day 1 means they save over 100 a month because they only pay 189 versus the 300 every month.
@@csugabo85 so they cut off the grid completely for 189$ a month? What’s the full price and duration of the loan? What’s the power output of the system installed? Trying to get full picture here, because you need actual 5x of your power consumption, as average efficiency is about 15-20% of its rated power.
@@w140 Sure I'll try my best to answer but I'm not the most technically proficient so bear with me but, they're not cut off completely there's a rule where you'll always have to be connected to the grid, at least in California. For this family they have enough solar panels to offset 132%. So 100% of the power they normally use plus an extra 32% where if they don't use that it gets sold back and they get credits for it. Hopefully that answers the power output question. The full price is around just at 40k at 30 yrs 2.99%.
From 262 to 142 ,,,,,,,,, so now they have NO UTILITY BILL. ????? WTF ??? I would throw you dow those stairs .......
You guys are funny asf for real Sola panals are a scam and so is all the electric car's
будьте счастливы американцы
Hmm you can only get a OFFSET of 100%(which means no electric bill) in ONLY A FEW AREAS LIKE CALI , ARIZONA…. Anywhere else your not getting enough sun to produce that much…. Even with a massive massive solar set up … only benefit from solar is getting BATTERY BACK UP …instead of 30k gas set up or even your house generator back up
Not a bad pitch but the man that’s getting the savings report is an Apple easy to get
Try doing that in Massachusetts with mass holes screaming at you
Instead of selling solar you gotta sell your personality
Technically you are making this amount of money but you won’t see it until they get installed which is a whole process
Your electric bill is a monthly process to. So not sure what you mean
It's nowhere near that amount for one house
Smooth pitch but there was no close yet to make that $9k.
Then you go back the next day to run his credit and he dnq’s
Said solar right away?
G.O.A.T
How much are you guys making per deal? That actually closes
