- Whilst staying at New Lodge Farm Caravan Park, Bulwick, Northamptonshire, we went out for the day to the Rutland Water Visitors Centre and walked round the reservoir to the Watersports Centre on the opposite side.

Hi Sue and Trev. You mjght have guessed that I would make a comment as you know I lived in Rutland. Rutland water was built after I left to discover the wide wide world in 1971, but when we were there a few years ago me and my son hired bikes and cycled all the way rounda lovely bike ride with coffee and a sandwich afterwards.. Take care, stay safe and well.

We have had mixed weather and missed some of the heat wave fortunately. I cannot bear the heat in a caravan or motorhome. Rutland was really lovely 🙂👍🏻 Trev

Absolutely amazing video footage, thank you for sharing your trip to Rutland water. Me and my girlfriend live not far, a village called market Overton, we often go to Rutland water for a day out in the summer, I like to photograph Normanton church it dates back to 17c and was saved when they created the reservoir. I have just purchased a Panasonic fz80 camera, I can't wait to go in the summer, at Rutland water they have the Rutland belle which takes you around the perimeter and is very pleasant. Hope you enjoyed your stay at Rutland water. Thank you again for sharing your views. May I ask what camera you used for this video?
Wow thank you for the compliments 😃 I am a keen amateur film maker and photography is a hobby that I do whilst visiting new places. The camera I used at the time I filmed this was the Canon G7X mk2 which is very much a vlogging camera that does most things without pressing too many buttons. Grab and go kind of photography because taking too long misses the action. We loved our visit to Rutland and would like more time in the area. There’s a good chance we will return soon as we regularly drive up and down the A1 😃🚐 Trev

@@PoshcatsCamping Rutland water is a great place, we go in the summer when it's a lot warmer, I don't know if you have seen Normanton church? I think it is the other side to where you were, it is Edith weston side, it is very picturesque and dates back to 17c I think, it is a pleasant walk from the entrance, there is a cycle shop to hire cycles for the day if that's your thing, also a restaurant along the way, also the Rutland belle where it takes you around the perimeter of the water, I took my two daughters many years ago. thank you again.
