Also one bad knee as the years go by usually lead to the other knee going bad because of favoring the bad knee😢
Wow could have used you guys when I got out in 83 but you guys weren't even born yet
And yet they know so much...
I've been struggling with the VA since 1983. Despite filing claims in 2014 and 2020, I was denied. Instead, I was granted a 30% disability rating for a scar on my forehead. I now have a 90% disability rating, but I believe I should have been rated at 90% back in 1983 due to the impact on my well-being and my demotion in rank.

very informative ty.
thank you. this helped allot
Sadly, my experience with Bilateral knee issues is always getting under rated because even while painful, I had maintained close to normal flexion/extension. Getting other issues linked is another fight altogether, as it seems current VA guidance discourages direct links between knees/back/gait/obesity/etc.
Great video, submitted a claim for my right knee pain right after getting out. Issues and events noted in my medical records but denied by VA. Maybe it's because I didn't have a diagnosis???
@ Teslaman, have it diagnosis and put in another claim with the DAV.
Always said the pain is 8 -10
Thank you for all of your videos they've helped me a lot. I just received a 20% bilateral knee rating, 10% for each knee and looking how I can secondary connect headaches and stomach issues. Question though shouldn't the bilateral factor from 38cfr4.26 be applied to my rating, increasing it by 10%?
Yes the bilateral factor should have been applied. There are also other secondaries that may apply.
What if you get a gel injection from the VA yearly, and you already have a 10% for one knee?
My left knee is very bad, I have no lift in my legs and knees. My feet are very bad also, because during my time we had those boots that will not bend. A doctor gave me admission for flat feet and they dismissed it.
I'm trying to link my flat feet to obesity because of my bad knees currently...
Can a baker cyst be rated if knee pain exists?
My right knee has been replaced because of a surgery I had while on active duty, now I put more of my weight on the left knee for balance, because of that I’ve had my left knee replaced is this a secondary condition
Will a total knee replacement cause you to get a reduction in benefits?
I need to talk to you guys
