Yes, the decision was not a surprise. With the new strain, travel restrictions, and the virus spiking all over the shop they really didn't have any alternative.
And it's sad for us, too. If ever an album was _perfect_ for live debut at a BIG event, it's Unseen World (Manners, live at Budokan would've melted brains.). Plus, imho, the resulting DVD would've made a spectacular addition to the BAND-MAID discography.
Just a couple of months. If vaccines had arrived just a couple of months earlier...
Still, we've got an _amazing_ new album to celebrate🤘.

This was great !!!!!!! You really can't get enough of-Band Maid........and Band-Maiko of course. These ladies are the epitome of rock today. I have been following rock and roll since the late 1950's up until the demise of rock in the US roughly 11 or so years ago. I was extremely gratified to find my way to Asia for the same music I grew up with. My first exposure was about 4 years ago when someone posted Wagakki Band's video of Kishikaisei on FaceBook and it was off to the races. Wagakki Band, BabyMetal, Japan X, SCANDAL, 2NE1 (I got interested in K-pop with them), Band-Maid, Aldious, Show-ya, Doll$Box, Nemophila, Lovebites, Girlfriend, Minda Ryn (a Chinese singer who does covers and her own songs), One OK Rock, Yoyoka Samo (the little drummer girl), Junna (another talented drummer), Senri Yamaguchi (yet ANOTHER talented Japanese female drummer) and so many others. It has been a very enlightening experience which I will continue for as long as I am breathing. I'm in my 70's and thought I had seen it all.........until Wagakki Band and Kishikaisei when my horizons expanded exponentially. It seems that the future of classic rock and roll is safe in the hands of Japanese female musicians and singers.

Mike2637 has heard these, too, but for anyone else who may be reading along, here's a couple more listening suggestions: Ningen Isu, Trident, Accént, B'z, Brats, Man With A Mission, Asterism, D_Drive, Shiena Nishizawa (EXiNA), Glim Spanky, Undead Corporation, Iron Bunny, Maximum The Hormone, Marys Blood, Pedro, The Brilliant Green, Fate Gear, Unlucky Morpheus, Bridear and Already Yours. (Also, gone but not forgotten: Telecide, RiViNi, Stereopony, Destrose, White Ash, Zettai Club and Gekijo Metalliche... The next two are probably better listed as 'Idol': LadyBaby and Death Rabbits ).
Yes, they're not all female, but they're all well worth a listen (imho), and ofc, these are just a few favorites, there a many, _many_ more.

Amazing work, so dedicated...I fully understand the love, for all five of them and as a unit. Easily the best rock band in this era, perhaps even one of the most significant ever. Phenomenal characters, phenomenal talent and phenomenal story.

MarkyG I'm surprised no one replied. I can't be 100% sure but a long time ago I think on Reddit someone said the two fingers stood for "Together/Togetherness" to represent B-M as a whole in all they were trying to achieve. Which we know is World Domination. No point in the maids aiming low :)

They also discuss the pro's and cons of various Pedals. -One thing Kanami likes about her Morley is the switchless activation of the effector (vs the press to activate pedals like the classic CryBaby).

Thank you for your reply. There was Mr. Wajima of "Ningen Isu", so it must have been exciting. I'm old, so I don't read "Young Guitar". LOL. I have seen a video of Mr. Wajima remodeling a wah pedal to make the unpleasant sound of a human chair. The commitment was interesting. In another video, Kanami was working hard on a sales promotion talk.

Guessing you know, already: (Mr.Wajima and Ms. Tōno have also done battle on 'Shakiin Sound Warriors' :-)
and I noticed Kanami was holding up a Ningen Isu CD in one of BAND-MAID's 2019 storevisit photos. -It 's great to see that Wazzy and Mincho definitely seem to respect and appreciate each others skills.

I watched up to Part 2. That video was also popular with overseas fans. I know the human chair at the time of its debut, but the times have finally caught up. I like "Imomushi" and "Kyouki Sanmyaku" in the songs of Ningen Isu. I like "Drop's" as much as Budmaid. Miho Nakano's voice is wonderful.
