This version of the song hits completely different. This video makes you think about different things. It's not only a tribute to a mother's care anymore, but it's also a tribute to a selfless mother's care in the darkest and hardest of times, in the situation that nobody ever wanted to find themselves in, and yet for the past two months, it became the reality for many Ukrainians all over the country. Some younger children will be lucky to never understand what was going on and why were they living in basements and metro stations, but for slightly older kids that will be their memory for life - having nothing but a family when your home somewhere above the ground may no longer be suitable for a living - given that it still exists at all.
Peace should not be taken for granted. Peace is the most expensive thing in the world with blood and human life being its price. You have to be willing to pay it if you want to live in peace again.
Makes me think of all these mothers sheltering their children in cold basements and all the frail babushkas I see in the news asking: “why is Putin doing this to us?” It’s all very moving beyond words.

I remeber of NATO bombardong of Serbia, I was 6, living in a basment. And the only reason why it never became a traume for me and my younger brother is because of my mom, who made it all a game. When the air danger sirens took off, she said: "ok, who gets to the basement first, wins!". We played cards, chess, caladont, etc. And when bombs exploded, she would say it was fireworks, but that it was just a rehearsal for the real thing, so we are not allowed to look at it, because she didn't want us to ruin a suprise when it's all ready. Хорошая песня. Всегда плачу на припеве, где солист поет что поле расцветает, а мама седеет. Наверное, это напоминает о скоротечности, но возобновляемости жизни.
