  • The next video i presented here is building the chassis incl. interior. Here I decided to assemble the monocoque in advance and paint it at once. Although, I had to paint the interior carpet in advance and masking it, as later it will be problematic to do it.
    I also assembled seats and a dashboard with a steering wheel. They will be glued later into the frame. For now i have combined them without glue. I'll make the engine in the next serie. Body panels leave for the fourth part.
    Thanks for viewing and patience. Someday i quit main work and will do only model car building.

    Nice work! Glad you didn't do the normal painting the CCM brakes metallic and leaving them like that. Great choice of tunes too :)
    I worked on the design of the T50 and T33 and have bought the kit to make my own, seeing as I never got to play in any of the XP cars. I'm planning on 3D printing some better wishbones, uprights and pedals, as the kit ones, though moveable are't quite what the real parts are. I might knock up some other parts too, if I see anything that can be improved.

      @Hix066 Wow! Nice to hear you worked on the GMA team. One question. I am creating a Lego Technic model of the T.50 at 1:8 scale. The plan is to recreate the building process as much as close to the real car, so I am taking as reference the Tamiya model. Do you think it is a good base ?

      @@jonfensu I'm not sure I follow. When you say building process, do you mean the assembly process?

    • @jonfensu
      @jonfensu Před 7 měsíci

      @@Hix066Yep, I meant the assembly process

    • @Hix066
      @Hix066 Před 7 měsíci

      I'm not really sure that the assembly process is of any relevance to a model. The only reason that certain parts are assembled in a certain order is down to workshop and human factors. Unless you were to faithfully recreate each part of major structure of a car then it's irrelevant how you put it together. And to be honest, using Lego you're going to be a way off. Even the official Lego kits of the McLaren 720 were miles apart from the actual car.

    Great job! It seems a very difficult model to build. It is quite similar to the mclaren senna I did a while ago. Keep it up!
