If she was 16 years white girl, the story would have been different.
Mo she is mixed and will probably get out, if she is a dark skin black girl, she will rot in that jail, no one will be documenting her at all her mum is white . Lucky for some.
how different? lol
Matt Bowers I want you to take a moment to realise your privilege and stop regurgitating what Fox News told about black people and actually think for yourself,
Matt Bowers but just take a look at factual statistics and you will be proved wrong.
@Matt Bowers yeah for some. But there is higher rates of people of color going to jail for false imprisonment. However, in this case she was wrongly convicted. People who have done what she did either go away for manslaughter which is at most 8 years or get off with self defense. If she was a white girl she would have gotten one of those. However she was put away for years because she decided to protect herself. Not only because she black, but also because she was seen as somebody who sold their body so she must be scum on the human scale of good people. There are plenty of cases out there that can show you two people doing the same crime and the one that is colored will get more time even if its his first offense and it's the white mans 2nd or 3rd
How do they keep saying gentleman at her trial,he was a child molester
And frankly he got what every child molester deserves.

Can't wait to see this documentary. Her story had to be told.
Yes - cold blooded murderers should be exposed
She already admitted that she had nothing to do with this documentary. Some guy visit her in jail and tried to get her to be a part of it and she refused, so he sold it to netflix. She also said she is making her own Documentary and it will be well detailed. She posted this on her Instagram
She doesnt even have nothing to do with this documentary
This is an unauthorized story that she wasn't even consulted on.
It needs to be taken down!
@@idk-9190 double negative! So... She did have something to do with the documentary? I don't get it 🤔

Google deleted my reply. She wasn't a child. She was 16 and in many states the age of consent is 16. She was a prostitute and it's been proven she murdered him to rob him. Not to mention she was a menace to society. Netflix will leave that out and only tell her bias side of the story I bet.
I hope they talk about the part where she shot the guy in the back of his head while he was sleeping and stole his stuff.
Mauka I do too and that they talk how he would have sex with underage girls and abuse them on so many levels. He deserved what he got.

No child should go through such life. So painful, all the adults failed her I guess. Such a cruel world. 😢😢😢😢
I’m a man of 36 years old and I am in tears and pain and happy at the same time for her for the second chance that life have gave her .
I completely understand her situation and of why she made that terrible mistake that took her to be behind bars for 15 years .
I went through for a lot of difficulties when I was very young with sexual abuse twice , domestic violence , neglect at early age without protection and love , bullying from day 1 and With the pain of my heart I can totally relate to her except I did not commit a murder but my life got very complicate a lot because of all what I went through which difficult to have a better quality of life and until now I still struggling and carrying it with me with a lot of therapies .
She’s a truly inspiring person and I am happy for a new a better future for her
Thank you god ❤️🙏🏽 and RIP and god takes you to his glory to the person who died and god bless for all the family
I am praying for your healing. God bless and God loves you so much.
i edited this comment so people don’t understand why everyone is so mad 😂
Shannon Pye The originally documentary (where Netflix pulled most of their footage from) is on CZcams. I’ve known about this case years prior to celebrities giving it attention. Done watch the documentary twice, it’s heartbreaking.
Truck Driver side effects did this quarantine make you stupid or something cause that sentence is not proper grammar my love 😂🤮
She will be part of the movie about her life and I hope she makes enough to live nice the rest of her life.
Netflix doesn't need her permission, she deserves nothing but the death that is coming her way.
Cool didn't ask
Cyntoia states she did not have any involvement in this documentary. Netflix should pull this back immediately enough people have exploited and taken advantage of her we shouldn’t as well
Tika Hardy umm it’s a story it’s meant to be told no matter if she was involved or not
Or give her part of the incomes
Evelirium Z so just because it’s a story about her she deserves part of the income did the Central Park 5 get income for the Netflix show they did I doubt that

Tia or Tamara should play her in a Biopic

Bruce Bruce INCEL alert 🚨
Matthew Norris so what? There are factual documentaries about about people who are not in them or are diseased. Just because someone didn’t participate in the documentary doesn’t mean it isn’t true.
Matthew Norris In this case it's Cyntoia vs 2 dead guys. Neither Kut nor Allen have a voice in it. Interviewing her at this point would be unbiased. The best is to look at the earlier recordings of her and the evidence. Which is what this documentary did.
No comment I completely agree
I just watched this documentary. I cried for her, thank you God for putting the pro bono team in her life. I love her mama , that lady stood by her daughter daily. I wish this woman nothing but blessings.

@@frials4757 He never had sex with her. The one who preyed on her was her pimp who she ran back to after robbing the man she shot in the back of the head. You sound like a typical Cyntoia supporter - ignorant of the facts and condoning of cold blooded murder. Congrats on making an ass of yourself.
The story she didn’t authorize or have any part in.
How do you know that?? Looks like she did n her story needs to be told to help other young girls who are still going through what she went through!!

Dyanne Rivera she put out a statement on twitter saying so. Her story needs to be told, by her.

And?
Netflix been dropping some fire documentaries lately...🔥🔥 ima watch this too..
Well when it's done right . People are more willing to let them tell they story. Unlike some of these other film makers
Yep for sure. HBO used to be the leader in docs but I think the crown belongs to Netflix now.
Even though I love that her story is being told, I am sad that is not being told the right way meaning with her consent. She released a statement saying she didn’t know they were making this documentary and has nothing to do with it. Another way that the world has tried to use her, exploit her. Hopefully she can get to tell her story under her terms, the right way, soon.
Cindy Alvarez nobody needs to tell her story, go see for yourself and read her court documents. That’s it. I’m not taking sides, my only side it’s what evidences say. Period!
Her story will be in her book or her account of events as she seen them ...I originally felt bad for cyntoia due to her age just not sure of her story, but no one apart from her and the dead guy know the truth.
caroollg I actually did for a class :) they are mainly public record
Anais Catton as long as her point of view is shared that is what is important to me. Her story not matter what people’s opinion on it is (everyone is entitled to their opinion) should be shared and be used sadly as a way to prevent other young teens having to go through what she went through.
her story is so heartbreaking
My eyes are watering just watching the trailer. Listened to a podcast on this..glad this story had finally the exposure it deserved
This was tough to watch and definitely harder to live.
It was definitely the hardest to live for Johnny Allen, with a bullet in the back of his head when he was innocent and asleep.
@@Orclin Hence the saying, "Karma is a bitch".

We need this kind of story to be told so that the echoes it will create can be a catalyst for change in how we view sexual abuse and violence as a silent epidemic that ruins lives in ways more than we can imagine.

I'm ready for this!
We are the same age and I’m from Nashville I remember when this happend back in 04 it actually happen not to far from me I remember seeing her on TV at 16
Since Cyntoia Brown herself wasn't asked or included in the making of this film and won't be receiving a cent from it, who will be profiting from Daniel H. Birman telling her story? Important questions to ponder before deciding whether to support it.
Tbh what i thought is this documentary started in court so that doesn’t need the defendant consultation it’s just like recording an interrogation? What if defendant say he/she dont want to record the talk would it matter no it wouldn’t they would still!
This is really important!
It's important, but it was not authorized by Cyntoia Brown herself.
She murdered a man in his sleep, definitely not important.
I have been following this story since she went in
I can't wait for this!
I feel bad that she was raped but something is off .. she would run away get high with her bf and sure enough sometimes if you don’t have enough money to buy drugs you’ll go out and rob possibly prostitute she ran away and got into a complete strangers car he bought her food went to his house and she shot him because she thought he “might” have done something to her shot him in “self defense”in the back of the head why wasn’t she worrying about any of this before she got in the car? Why didn’t she run away or called the police when he was sleeping idk what if she killed others before but didn’t get caught ?
Wow Netflix with another win. Everyone needs to know this story
If you meant everyone needs to know the story of her victim, Johnny Allen, I fully agree with you.
Does anyone know the song that was playing in the background?
Netflix with the bangers!!!
She said that this wasant authorized. I’m not watching it. Don’t support this.
Exactly. I'll be waiting for the Documentary that she will be putting out herself. I'm not watching this
sawako lucia that means they didn’t have her permission to make this and she gets nothing from them banking on this.
Netflix, you need to get her permission and pay her - SERIOUSLY!!! If, she didnt grant permission - they are just pulling items from public records and interviews. I want support if u want support Cyntoia Brown-Long.
English is not my first language so i was so confused reading this. What you meant was "this wasn't authorized"
justanotherpersonxo they did this without her say so. Her greenlight. They’re just trying to market off her name without her consent.
Allen was found dead in a pool of blood in his bed. Authorities say he was face down and had his hands under his head, as though he was sleeping when he was shot in the back of the head, court documents show. Yeah totally self defense.
Seriously true.. His hands were even clasped. It was a robbery plan. Ppl involved here hyped for own benefits
I agree something is off with her story she voluntarily got in his car and when to his house she said she was afraid he was going to do something to her she shoots him while asleep why didn’t she rob him while asleep and ran away? Why didn’t she call the cops ? She knew what she was going to do to that day remember at the time she probably needed money she was 16 with a bf that she would have sex with and do drugs
i cant wait for the followup , from mercy to murder , part 2
Looks good, I’m up for watching this
*Oh great, yet another documentary I have to watch*
I wonder what Johnny would of been doing right now? maybe he would have a family like she is gonna have some day, or maybe he would be alive like she is or maybe he would be in charge of his life like she has right now, bottom line is he never gets to make any of those choices because she chose for him and now gets to live a second life, and remember the time she spent in jail is still a life, one that Johnny would of excepted opposed to a death sentence knowing he would be out in 15 for a second life but then again he didn't have the power to make that choice she did. She should of done the 51 years!
Brock Landers agreed!
GAG. he would have raped her and then continued to rape other underage girls forced into the sick ways of prostitution !

She lied about her age. She did not have sex with him. She shot him while sleeping. She robbed his house after the crime. She changed her version several times. We need to stand up for true victims, this girl ain’t one.
caroollg you forgot that she stole his car than tried to go back to his house to take more things...and bragged about the murder and threatened others that “told her business”
I would hope that the truth comes out. But when I look at the trailer of the Netflix documentary, I am not sure. I just hope they show all sides of the story. If you look closely at the case, it looks more like she killed him to rob him, which would, in fact, be premeditated murder.
