DIY Marsh Layout Boats

- My buddies and I made a couple of layout boats for duck hunting in the marsh. It was a fun project and I can't wait to try them out. I'm sure there are going to be some things that we are going to need to change, but we had to start somewhere. I hope this video gives you an idea for your own project.

Unfortunately we don't have any footage from hunting out of these boats. We have used them a few times and they do work quite well. Good luck if you give it a shot!
What did you use to propel the boat. I have a jonboat similar to this and considered selling it until I saw this. I am currently rowing or poling mine along in the marsh.
At first we tried using a push pole from the back and that worked okay. Then we did a push poll from the back and a paddler up front and that work better, but what actually worked the best was just paddling it from the front and the back, like a canoe. I hope that helps, and thanks for watching!

Where did u find the fence clips your using as henges ?
If you're talking about the hinges on the doors, we fabricated those ourselves.

First of all, thanks for watching! I agree that it does look like that at first glance. After hunting in them a couple of times, I assure you it's safer than it looks.
