Love going thrifting with my mom. She's 83 and blind, but it doesn't matter. I show her everything and she feels it and marvels at how cheap the thrift store sells things. Lol. We're going thrifting the next 4 days. I can't wait!❤

We stop there often, love their junk in the trunk sales and flea markets in the summer! Also, Little Red Schoolhouse summer flea markets.. so fun!

Loved your video!! The blue and white flour, sugar and coffee canisters with the little measuring cups are old. They are called Blue Onion Ware. They are made at the Meissen factory in Germany and are hand painted. I collect them, 48.00 is a great price for all of them!! The linen section, oh my goodness😮😮😮I would have lost my mind in there!!

I stopped with my mom once there. First we hit the goodwill in Dewitt my favorite place to shop. We only had about an hour and a half to shop in there. I found some great treasures and want to go back. I usually get to Dewitt once every other week. And forget to go back into the Mega Mall.
It is a bit overwhelming, so much to look at! I hope to go back soon!

I am amazed at how many things I see in your travels thrifting especially antiques that I already have. That navy blue evening purse across from the Linens you were looking at I have in my drawer today. I have moved so many times in downsize so many times I no longer have hardly any of my collections. But at 81 I'm not about Gathering stuff around me I'm about getting ready to go home one of these days I hope
The blue & white canisters are onion ware! They are very old! I have several pieces of my great aunt & great grandmother’s. Definitely worth it all for that price!! They are quite old! The print of the boy with the bunny is very old too. It was a common print for the era (30’s/40s) I have my great grandmother’s. She had it in her kitchen, then my grandmother had it in her kitchen. My mom skipped it, but now it’s in my kitchen.

I washed my feather pillows, I put a 1/4 c bleach in the water also, then dry them in the dryer until they are dried.
I love it when you take us along on yours and your mom's adventures. I really wish I still had my mom and Granny (who would love it more) to go with me shopping. I saw so many things I wish I could have snagged in the antique mall. You always do a great job and make it look so much fun.

Looked like a fun trip with your Mom. Love the bowls you got. I’m always afraid to buy old pillows, you can’t wash, ( germs and bugs). How do clean something like those.
If they can't be washed, I throw them in the dryer to kill most things and then spray them with essential oils.
*Lesson learned, Elizabeth...if you like something at Goodwill and are not sure about it, put it in your cart and think about it while you are looking at everything else❣️🙉😉 If you ultimately decide to pass, put it back on the shelf - and nobody has taken that choice of you purchasing it away from you in the meantime. 😔 It's happened to all of us. I am grateful it's a lesson my Mom taught me as a young child - I grew up thrifting, yard sales, garage sales and auctions - and something I've always shared with friends who were new to thrifting, yard and garage sales. If you have it in your cart (or your hands at a yard or garage sale), there is no risk of someone else buying it while you're deciding if you want the item or not. 🤔*
*That 6 inch blue picket fence bowl was such a good bargain!*
I know that lesson and usually follow it, but I thought they were safe since there were only 3 other people in the store at the time.... oh well, I really don't know where I would have used them to be honest lol

I love the vintage ticking stripe feather pillows. I recently found a bunch at an estate sale. I've got two on my couch and two on my bed. They wash up great and I love them 😁

I’m thinking vintage is at least 50 years old and antique is at least 100? Am I right? I noticed some of the stuff labeled vintage (ie Liz Claiborne) maybe didn’t qualify?
I just looked it up and vintage is considered anything 40 years or older 😊

It's all over the place! There are some who say 29-25 is vintage. But I agree with 40. Maybe stretched to 35...😂
