    From what I see I would have won the World Cup WITH THE USA because that defending is terrible

    • @tipepe1474
      @tipepe1474 Před 5 lety +62

      Would the USA team have looked the same as it does today? Would the USA players have been as skilled and athletic as they are today to compete at world cup level?
      Now, take that same 1958 Brazil team and give them access to the same training, nutrition, and medical care available today and tell me how many current teams would have been able to defeat them.
      Remember, those guys in 1958 did not have whey protein, Gatorade, pre and post workout shakes to build lean muscles, they did not have the most advance technology in training the body to be faster, stronger, and stay injury free longer. These are some of the many things to consider when comparing today's athletes with athletes from decades ago who performed almost all naturally. Even the shoes, the field, the environment, hydration, etc, can make a huge difference in how well an athlete performs......and these guys back then did it at the highest level without any of the above. It's time we show some respect for those who came before us; because 60 years from today, future athletes will look at our films and make fun of us too.

      One thing that young people take for granted now is that the players were very slow, all because they do not understand, they do not perceive, that the films were shot with a speed that makes everything see in semi-slow motion ... then they interpret that the speed It was "invented later" ... as those who still believe that before life was "black and white".

      @luisfernandotrivelatto1975 Před 6 lety +101

      ele mesmo, que aos 17 anos fez em 45 minutos metade dos gols que o messi fez em copas do mundo na carreira toda.

    • @tottiorenegado
      @tottiorenegado Před 6 lety +2

      qdo as equipes jogavam sem compactação e linhas defensivas? quando os jogadores corriam 10x menos durante uma partida?

    • @luisfernandotrivelatto1975
      @luisfernandotrivelatto1975 Před 6 lety +19

      é verdade, o futebol mudou muito, mas mesmo assim nenhum outro jogador chegou perto de dominar o jogo naquela época como pelé (apesar que o domínio messi/cristiano pelos últimos anos é algo que não era visto há muito tempo também)

    • @tottiorenegado
      @tottiorenegado Před 6 lety +3

      Sem comparar números e tudo mais, futebol por futebol, pelo menos pelos vídeos que já e já vi muitos inclusive partidas inteiras de copa, não vejo o Pelé fazer nada de absurdo. Tb é injustiça comparar épocas, não tem nem como comparar o futebol de antigamente com o de hoje.

    • @acelinob20
      @acelinob20 Před 6 lety +18

      Pois é, pra ce ver como ele estava bem à frente do tempo dele e do nível dos jogadores da época. Messi é bom, mas não da pra comparar.

    Judging by how they played back then I’d be the best player in history had I played back then hahaha. The defenders suck, and they all play so slow in general.

      not really, it looks easy, and the game wasn't really that "technical" at the time, but still

    • @tipepe1474
      @tipepe1474 Před 5 lety +58

      If you were born back then you wouldn't have had access to the advance training, nutrition, and medical technology available today, so chances are you probably would have been as below average as an average player can get. On the other hand if Pele was playing today with the advance in training technology and nutrition, imagine how much better, faster, and stronger, he would have been. Pele back then as a teenager was already playing way ahead of grown men...he was decades ahead of them.

      The pace of the game actually makes it easier for defenders you nitwit. It give defensive players time to make adjustments and anticipate the attacking players move more easily.
