- So uh, remember the underrated 2019 Bowser's Inside Story remake...? Yeah, it changed some of the bosses' themes, but I don't know why they didn't bother to change the Shroob battle theme. So here it is the battle with the theme it deserves. This is a mod I made which I'm not going to publish. Only editing the music with some sort of video editor is a lame move.

The fact that Mario says he and Luigi defeated the shroobs when they were babies means that this is the timeline of the baby bros and not the one of the adult bros we played as initially in PiT.
Yeah, at the beginning of the game (and during it) there's Toadbert in here.
This wouldn't make sense since he stayed in Yoshi's Island (Past), but since this is the same timeline he stayed then it all makes sense.
Probably both, their memories might have merged if it’s the same timeline
The memories made by their younger past selves would suddenly be in the older selves, as if they “remembered” it
I like to think they actually experienced both alien invasions (as babies and adults) and it becomes a cycle. Babies get help from their adult selves, stop the invasion and once they grow up they go to the past. And Starlow reacted then Mario mentioned the babies bc it was the most impactful part

At least they bothered to keep this fight. I'll be forever waiting for a remake of PiT. R.I.P. Alphadream, you guys were great.

Honestly it would've made more sense to scrap the fight entirely, I'm not complaining, but if they were gonna not do a Partners in Time remake and skip to BIS you'd think that PiT would just be retconned out in the DX timeline. Though I will admit it is a great thing that it's in the game
@@PliskinYT they skipped to bis because it was the most popular and they needed money to avoid bankruptcy but that didn't work out sadly
I'm warning you, I'll be the one to make the remake unless someone gets ahead of me, but my dream is to revive the MaL RPG saga. But that won't be happening any soon as I don't know anything about game development YET, the wait will be long but it'll be worth it, also I'll try to put a secret Sephiroth boss

truth is, baby luigi found the shroobs' weakness (babies' tears) so he actually put an end for the shroobs

I like how they addes the younger Princess shroob next to the elder Princess shroob, and for some reason they removed the broken Shroids in the background. And apparently they also added an RC Shroober if you use Jump helmet and walk all the way to the back.
I kinda wished they didn’t skip PiT, but at the same time, considering how poorly BiS sold, PiT probably would’ve sold even worse.

Not necessarily. I’ve seen a lot of people that want a remake of PiT that also actually want to play it. It’s likely it would do well but Nintendo don’t know it so they won’t want to take the risk.
The reason behind why a game like Bowser's Inside Story DX sold this poorly wasn't only because of them skipping Partners in Time but also because it was released on a dead console (if I'm correct it was one of the few if not the last game for the 3DS) when almost everyone already abandoned the 3DS for the Switch. This was already a problem with Superstar Saga DX, which wasn't so obvious since it was the first remake of the series and solved lots of problems with the original one.
The other reasons for Bowser's Inside Story DX's failure were obviously it being unnecessary (since the original one was already playable on the 3DS and perfect as it was) and the "We skip Partners in Time which really needed a fully remake for a remaster of Bowser's Inside Story with better graphics, really few improvements and a mobile phone as a side game".
If they made these remakes for the switch it would've sold way better. Almost nobody was buying new 3DS games when BiS remake appeared.
Add whether people were okay with this level of remaking/remastering and that is a recipe for failure. A slight remaster or a port could have done worse since there's little reason to buy it at the end of 3ds's marketing when it would barely be any different while a port would be worse, far worse, since you can still play the original on 3ds. If it had sold far earlier, we would have bought it and had more time to consider if the remake is worth it over the original.

Ugh the moment the music transitioned to the PiT theme I almost screamed. I love how it almost seems like the start of the boss theme is what made the "!" icon bounce.

I had my heart set on one of the sequels revisiting what this secret room set up, like Fawful would return barely alive and uses whatever power he has left to break all the Shroobs out for another invasion.

Wiggler has been a boss in every Mario and Luigi game.
What if Wiggler would've been the one unfreezing the Shroobs thinking that they can protect his farm, unknowing of the fact that they overrun the Mushroom Kingdom decades ago, and would do so again.

The Shroobs should have had an extremely high amount of HP like in Partners in Time. Like 3000 each.
I agree, although they could maybe be a tad lower than that. It would be very neat to get a big revamp of their fight too, like adding several new attacks related to other shroobs, healing rays, shields, all that stuff. If they are going to hide away a secret boss, it should be one of the more difficult bosses in the game.

The Shroob Princesses being cryogenically frozen in the background means they're both still alive, and prisoners of Bowser. Imagine if something happened that caused the power in Bowser's castle to fail, it could lead to the Shroobs returning as a threat.
This fight is the closest we will ever come to a remake

I like how this mirrors the adult Bros.' first encounter with the Shroobs in PiT, just without the everpresent threat of an impossibly short time limit... and as a mid-late game optional boss, instead of like, the fifth enemy encounter or so.

So these mario and luigi are the baby ones from partners in time and not the adult ones, otherwise they recognise the shroobs in an instant

I'm replaying the original version and it hurts seeing how good the music and graphics are.
Something about the PiT boss theme combined with the BiS battle victory theme after that is making me happy
The fact that baby bowser froze both shroob princess (cuz this is baby mario timeline) made me wonder, what If the shroob invaded the present instead of the past, can't imagine bowser and his army wreck the shroobs
I didn't play the 3DS remake, so I initially thought that this was an actual remix of the boss theme from Partners in Time before I read the description :'(
Honestly, if they weren't even gonna give us THAT at least since they skipped a Partners in Time remake, they probably should have just removed this fight from the game.

@@starflame34 That argument makes no sense. It's a callback to PiT that the original game had, so it should be in the game. Additionally, this is one of the worst selling Mario games ever, so I don't think a lot of people care anyway.

They can totally do it on the switch, the only time you need to touch the ds was to clean the dirty drawing, I feel like they could just either animate Mario cleaning the drawing or use the controllers instead

mario & luigi went back to the past specifically the time where shroobs attacked which means it happened before but instead of just killing all the shroobs bowser froze them

In Bowser’s defense, the Shroobs were so chaotically evil, cryogenically freezing these monsters was pretty much the only option he had of dealing with them.

texture filter is a built in feature for ages. personally i like the xBRZ one. and for 60fps, i found 60fps patches on gbatemp. you can use those patches with the cheats feature on citra.

I don't remember the file that is related to the specified BGM anymore since it has been years and sadly it replaces the original boss theme on every encounters.
I think this was the same place where Bowser Jr was getting ice to use to make skeleton d for the goombas and his father.

Why the hell would they remake this game on the 3ds which was dead at the time?! What were they thinking?
It was probably easier to remake the game with all it’s original features not being changed (like bowsers entire special move arsenal, the giant fights, and other touchscreen things) since if it were ported to switch they would have had to change a lot, like any touchscreen mechanic for docked mode.

BiS not need a remake because the original version is perfect, but PiT was need a remake, the game is beautiful, yes, but, it need improvements in the gameplay, the items, the tadems, and new themes for some bosses, for example, the Elder Princess Shroob in his firts phase. I want a remake :(

I think the reason is it isn't actually a proper mod. From the sound of it he just unpacked the game, deleted the normal boss theme and added the new one in its place rather than changing it for this 1 specific fight then just recorded this specific segment of the game. .-.
