These types of videos are great for people trying to get back into the hobby. Andy mentioned this deck was more competitive but have you thought of doing a series of light and dark themed decks? In this case, I would love to see a light side deck video for "There is good in him / I can save him" paired with this video.
Yep! Doing a Death Star and attack run themed deck. I can save him will probably be something we do down the road but I’ll add it to our list.
Another fantastic deck video. I've always thought of Hunt Down as the "big bad Vader smokes everything" kind of deck, but after watching this, I feel like this (as Andy alluded to) might be even better for that. I would love to see a Hunt Down video, too, if you haven't done one already.
Think we still need to do a hunt down. There’s just so many decks we want to do! We’ve got a running list of 10+ at the moment.
@@boardmatt I feel that. Every time I make a deck list, I end up thinking of another deck I need to do, because I want to make more use of one particular card or combo.

I find BHBM to be a very tasteless objective, but if I were to play it, this looks like it would be the most fun.

I played BHBM, much of what I had formed the basis of my later indestructible lightsaber combat deck. Interesting use of Operational As Planned and Search and Destroy, I didn’t go that way, but a lot of this deck matches what I had. We never needed as many grabbers as that in the UK meta. And agreed, Hidden Base with some EPPs was tricky. I had an extra Force Field and one card missing here that made people go WTF… Human Shield! Oh you think you hit Vader? Think again! Or use Luke as forfeit fodder if they draw high destiny in battle. The deck is set up for battling, but people here really did paint Vader with a target and go after him. So part of my strategy was come at me bro heh.

Would this deck work with The Emperor (Reflections II) as a substitute for DSII Palpatine? He's becoming unobtanium IRL where I'm located.
Not sure what the impact to the deck is with the change (other than Force Lightning isn't as effective), and less potential for destiny 6 draws. Likewise I'd have to swap the 3x DSII vaders (probably for EPP or more Special Edition DLotS versions). Have never played BHBM but am keen to try.
I would honestly just print a high res copy of the card and slip it in front of a normal card. If you’re playing with friends, I’m assuming it’s pretty casual and you should be able to use proxies. It’s not as “cool” but it is much much more affordable.
Making those two swaps isn’t doing the kill the deck but it will nerf it quite a bit. The ref2 emperor is just kinda crappy.

How can I update this to Prem-Ref2?
Not that much needs to change. Swap in Mara Jade and her lightsaber and add in a few of the combo interrupt cards. Ref2 only had 54 cards, so you’ve got limited card pool. Biggest thing is addition of watch your step for light side, so adding in a few counters for that. Otherwise, the format isn’t that different.
