Imagine a western RPG like Skyrim or the Witcher, but Neptunia? MANY people here in the west would gladly pay $60 for a good western RPG in the Neptunia Franchise. I am one of those people, actually.
The soundtrack from what I've see is lovely and almost feels out of place in a neptunia game. It has such a graceful sound to it compared to the other games.
Well, clearly Compile Heart and Idea Factory wanted to try something new. They do tend to release spin-offs and remakes while the next mainline game is developed.
@@MelonTartVA Honestly I 'want' a Nep game that's akin to how this OP sounds. Something fantastical and exciting, closest thing to that would be Cyberdimension Neptunia, but its still a JRPG and not the 'standard' western RPG.

I have mixed feelings about this. Because of this song and pic, i got different impressions of Neptune. Throughout the years i have played Neptunia series this is the first time i had different feelings about Neptune

Just imagine it in Neptune place, don't know who you are... Only be accompanied by the mysterious tomb book( histoire)... , and you felt even you belong to those world, thar world wasn't supposed to be like that..... Starting your journeys only with your courage, heart, and valor...
I think that works well for the game. Neptunia is a very 2D game. When you’re not in a dungeon everything is just a visual novel. You can’t traverse towns and see the townspeople go about their day. And all the dungeons are usually have the same layout as other dungeons you’ve been to. It’s more like you’re watching an interactive play. This is the first Neptunia game that’s completely 2D but bigger and more alive and interactive. The most alive it’s been it the franchise. From what I’ve seen of the new Sisters vs sisters releasing in February it’ll be a 3D game with areas you can explore in city’s that’ll have npc going about their business. You can walk into buildings and buy and sell gear and accept quests so hopefully Neptunia will go in the direction of more open and explore able worlds from here on.

I believe that it's the continuation of the first game's story line since it wasn't canon and this game isn't going to be canon either. And if you look carefully, the game has the word "super" in it and the first game's dimension was superdimension. This would make a lot of sense actually.
And look at the book that represents the game, think of anyone who is usually a book, Histoire, so the book might be Histoire.
This game's setting might have been events before the events that happened in the first game, like before Afoire became evil and Histoire being a tomb. The CPUs must have somehow went back in time. That also happened in Victory I believe so. I have so many more theories, but it'll be too much for me to type in because i'm lazy.
Looking foward to when the English version comes out.

It's not any real language. The artist intentionally wanted to sing in a made up language so as to not have to worry about language debates concerning music in video games.

@Conkergox 98 it isnt but the game is too confusing but once you get the hang on whats going on it gets much easier and interesting.
The language is weird, some italian words but like ... with letters swapped and kinda distorted, probrably some latin with also distorted letters ... it seems that they took real languages and kinda fucked them up a little, and then made their own nep language!
My theory is relating for example to this lyrics!
