    Man, I learn so much from your videos. I swear it seems like every time I click one of your videos where the title sounds relevant to my question, the answer to my specific question is always clearly articulated. Your videos convinced me to buy your spring kit and I couldn't be happier. Now after listening to this episode, Ill be looking to buy a new set of uppers from you when I get my sons out of the backseat and into their own vehicles.
    Your videos have helped me make the right wheel and tire purchasing decision, or I undoubtedly would have ended up with wheels that look cool, but had horrible feedback through the wheel. You've saved me from other poor purchasing decisions as well. Thanks again

    Justin, does oil in the nitrogen mean the shocks wear band is bad typically? Also, can you do a video on how to tell if shock dampers are bad once removed from the car and the springs are removed, what sounds or feelings should come from a good or bad shock, what's it smell like. my front right shock I can shake and hear oil splashing around, also when I compress it, it rebounds in spurts. (id love a answer on my first question!)

    • @ShockTherapyllc
      @ShockTherapyllc  Před rokem

      Yes oil in the nitrogen is usually a blown shock. If you hear oil sounds and rebounds in spurts it is definitely blown out internally.

    I got a set of your dual rate springs for my x3 and also have the same spring compressor you guys use. My question is I already have your front limit straps, do I need to take off the upper billet clamp or can I pry against it to compress the springs since there’s not enough room between the billet clamp and the preload collars to get the spring compressor jaws directly on just the preload collars? Thanks!

    • @ShockTherapyllc
      @ShockTherapyllc  Před rokem

      You don’t need to remove the limit strap clamp. Just put a rag on both of the compressor lower jaws and sit the clamp on them. 🤘🏻

    Ok…so if I understood what you just said, temperate won’t effect your coils…so customers can powder coat our coils without risking damage?

    Hi, great video, I recently bought and installed your dual rate spring set on my pro xp ultimate. On the front I had to adjust the preload collars 1 1/4 further down the shock body than the starting point you recommend to get my prefered ride height. I had to go 1 1/2 further down on the back. Should the cross over rings move the same distance further down or should there be a certain distance the divider and cross over ring should be apart from each other? Thanks

    • @ShockTherapyllc
      @ShockTherapyllc  Před rokem +2

      Good question. The cross over should have a gap of 1” in the front and 2” in the rear from the bottom of the cross over to the top of the spring divider no matter what pre load you have in the system. This is measured at ride height with the weight you normally run and people in the car you normally run. 🤘🏻

    This was a very good presentation! You cut out all the bull shit that wasn't funny anyway! I watch most of these and this is the first time I caught on that the upper and lower springs worked together until they hit the crossover! Duuuhhh!

    2021 Polaris rzr xp 1000 with walker shocks has the tender spring…in my opinion…they are junk, and dangerous. Moreover, it’s one of the reasons you feel such a big difference with the dual rate coils. I’m not a mechanic…or mechanical…but I can tell the difference in performance and ride. Tender springs fucking suck…and if UTV drivers want to end up on their top…keep the tender springs. I’m surprised Polaris has not been sued of their shit springs.

    Something is a problem with your springs, I see it online everyday, not as bad lately! Maybe your powder coater ISN'T really that good? I see guy after guy complaining about the springs rubbing, then go over to 1 or 2 guys on pages for different spring set up and all the issues are gone? 🤷‍♂️ U can't just blame it on a wear item. When other guys fix the issue

      @@ShockTherapyllc I did! But it's a problem with people over and over. U can go on the sxs page and find 10 people in first 50 posts who show your springs wearing thru the shock body, then show pic of other companies springs sitting perfect and every person saying this other companies set up even rides better 🤷‍♂️ Every person! I haven't found any negative feedback about this particular company, unless whoever is running the pages take those posts down? But I don't see it on any other pages. Just everyone M Effing u guys cause u use loose bed springs lol. Idk I went thru this with Polaris Snowmobiles, I found the right shock guy, he definitely doesn't have the complaints like I see about u guys
