    Question:
    Before I ask a question…or series of questions…this is my first SXS, and the skill sets that are normally associated with owners…are not mine.
    I have a 2021 Polaris RZR XP 1000 4…with a ton of modifications, but I just had HMF exhaust and header installed. I also added…after a suggestion…a Dynojet Power Vision 3 tune specifically for my set-up. However, there is no substitute for horsepower, and I noticed that Dynojet has a flex fuel kit; but is that juice worth the squeeze. In addition, if I decided to go that route, what fuel pump and sized injectors would I need to get the best results?
    I started out with an honest 110 horsepower, but with the exhaust, tune, flex fuel kit, bigger injectors and larger fuel pump…about where would I be in horsepower…general…round about…educated…guess?

    A significant part of the fun is adjusting the suspension. No way are you taking away my adjusters for an electronic switch - what else would I do all day?! I love my clickers! Thanks for the kickass info. I wish you would do a video of an actual car and describe whats happening and how the different changes impact the performance and show a back to back slow-mo so we can see and tell us what you're looking for...

    Another great video guys. Especially since my car will be there in 3 weeks! One question, hopefully not a dumb one, is what's the difference between normal and aggressive drivers? I know it may seem obvious, but some of us who aren't racers and still feel young inside might think of ourselves as aggressive yet still fall in the normal range. I also think I'm thin and have more hair, but that's not true either. I ask because the fine gentleman at your shop asked me on the phone. Keep up the good work.

    • @ShockTherapyllc
      @ShockTherapyllc  Před 2 lety

      Hi Michael. Thank you fir the question. We stiffen the compression and spring rates according to aggressive driving but if your light weight then we may leave the set up alone since it’s stiffer with less weight. Balancing it a bit

    • @michaelrobbins1343
      @michaelrobbins1343 Před 2 lety

      @@ShockTherapyllc Thanks for the reply. That makes sense but I should have clarified...how do I know if I'm an aggressive driver or not? When I'm with my wife trail riding I don't go as fast, but with a buddy, either trail riding or desert, I go much faster and harder. Is it as simple as set it up between desert and trail and then just adjust the shock settings on the fly? Bla bla, right? Sorry if I'm getting too wordy.

    • @ShockTherapyllc
      @ShockTherapyllc  Před 2 lety +1

      @@michaelrobbins1343 all good. If your not breaking or recking your car on the regular then your Probly not super aggressive. In which case you have plenty of adjustment to go soft fir the wife and stiffer adjustments for playing with the guys.

    In your guys expert opinion on 2018 polaris Rs1 that is always ridden mainly on Hatfield McCoy's and outlaw trails would you spend the extra money for fox rc2 upgrade or just do your guys internal shock valving upgrade? I do already have your spring kit upgrade . Any advice would be appreciated.

    • @ShockTherapyllc
      @ShockTherapyllc  Před 2 lety

      I would do the spring and internals to the factory shocks. We can make them very plush for your style of driving. I would recommend the foxes if you really drove it hard. They will excel there. 👍

    I wish they would just make units specifically tuned for certain rides. If I buy a 72” wide x3 max in desert tan, why can’t it already be tuned for the dunes ? I understand the trail or 64” cars.they make a specific mud car why not dune car ?

  • @kinnonfast448
    @kinnonfast448 Před 2 lety +1

    I would honestly dare say I split all three pretty evenly. Living in michigan, we have silver lake that is real close, majority of our trails are fast paced sandy trails(similar to desert I'd say) and then we have a lot of offroad parks with mud and slow trails and rock crawling so would it be best to set up right in the middle and just adjust per ride? Very capable of adjusting the compression and rebound....and I'll actually get out of the car lol

    • @ShockTherapyllc
      @ShockTherapyllc  Před 2 lety

      Absolutely. Set it up in the middle. There’s enough adjustment to cover it, since you can get out of the car!🤣👍

    • @ShockTherapyllc

      We have not but walkers are the same internally so there is no reason we couldn’t.

  • @SUBARULT
    @SUBARULT Před 6 měsíci

    In mud, the car collects mud and weight increases a lot. Softer springs lower the car down to a few inches by reducing ground clearance. Wash out all mud and it gets raised to stock height. How to deal with that?

    • @ShockTherapyllc
      @ShockTherapyllc  Před 6 měsíci

      Easy. With a proper dual rate system you can run the cross over ring down just a bit. This brings the heavy lower spring rate in soon and stops the setting with weight like a stock spring system will do. Even lighter spring systems are great too.

  • @radiolotek
    @radiolotek Před 2 lety

    Hey @shocktherapy. With the smart shocks, is there tuning available yet or just valving? I live in the Nevada desert but ride the rocky mountain trails too. There's also the couple of dune trips scattered in the year. It would be nice to just have the 3 types set to the 3 settings on my shocks. I'd like to get rid of the harsh ramp up on stiffness though.
    Waiting to hear about the smart shocks tuning in the works to do the springs and all at once.....

    • @ShockTherapyllc

      More ground clearance either the 32 would be better for both. The set up difference is minor. Little mire rebound fir the 32. Little more Comp fir the 32. Both due to weight. But it’s minor. Just a click or two. Not worth re Valving

    Funny I learned all this buying Polaris Snowmobiles, cause their best shocks are horrible! Will never buy another Top Polaris Snowmobile until they offer Fox or something better, the Walker Evans H/L were junk and the latest Velocitys were complete Garbage! Was so pissed with the one I bought last season I sold it with 400mi on it. Worst riding sled I've owned. And it was cause the shocks. Whatever Polaris spec is that they tell Walker to put in is HORRIBLE! I can't believe Walker would build shocks that bad and put their name on them. Unless they just don't care
