Lastly, Clockwork has my absolute admiration in this game! The way he has played Strider/Doom throughout the years and never giving up on this team is true dedication, and deserves my up most respect. Absolutely amazing to see the lockdowns, resets, traps, mixups that his Strider brings. Honestly, if Strider did more damage and had better stamina, he would be absolutely freakish in MvC2.
@TrueSephiros I hear ya brother, he's one of the few who stuck with his guns. Imagine if he spent as much time on Storm and Sent? Props to Duc too for amazing Spiral play.
@PheNOMofHDC best cyclops is a guy named Jake from Dallas. He plays with Toan Nguyen. Jwong is just really careful, he can't even do cyc infinite consistently.
@Zezamaroo That Storm infinite is so easy mode. It's standard and Clock shouldn't have gotten caught by it. Strider has two very similar infinites on Sentinel that Clock could have landed on Sanford if Sanford wasn't so good. The crowd was quiet because they realized that Sanford downloaded Clock and was going to body him for sure. More people wanted to see Clock win because he's an OG and considered the underdog, Sanford is always on top and most of them wanted to see a change.
Doom was the last one and did his "last stand". You notice the other player used hyper combo of all 3 characters since he noticed Sentinel could be KO'ed
@Eschatonx Don't listen to these players who'll call these tactics "cheap" and "unskillfull". Because these are the same players who'll whine about how "cheap" fireball traps are, corner traps, chip damage all of the above and more. It's obvious Rypleys doesn't know how to play MvC2, because if he was as well knowledge as he claimed, he would know that its not the infinites that are the most dangerous...but the Resets that truly make characters monsters in MvC2. MvC2 is a Man's game.
@SirMclovin111 It's funny.. the 5 characters you mention are all keepaway toons.. they all use the shit out of projectiles from the other side of the screen. So seemingly.. you don't like your own play..
@Rypleys1 Something tells me you're not telling the truth. Where exactly do you play? Who exactly do you play against? What characters do you play? You can call them cheap or whatever you like, but truth be told, at the highest level of play, infinite aren't even so common anymore. If it's so cheap, Magneto would be still played a lot more than he has been. He's been pushed aside for the storm+sent 100% combo.
see the thing is clockw0rk may be the best strider but most top tier players dont pick strider because hes weak as fuck..if you open him up and not let the shuriken crap get u in the corner u can crack his head open like a pumpkin..watch the jwong vs clockw0rk video ulll see how jwong owned strider..he has the worst dmg ressistance in the game but clock is bad ass with him cuz of the offense he produces
Did you just fail to answer any of my questions? I believe you failed to answer them all, which further indicates to me you don't play this game at all. You can argue that doing infinites isn't skill, but then again, I can safely assume you can't do these infinites, therefore, any easy way out is to just call them cheap. We can take it a step further, true skill is avoiding being caught in an infinite. We can go all day, is chipping to death someone cheap? Is trapping someone cheap?

He not ready for the Kells!

@insanecombo2 By pressing the assist button that corresponds to the character on the loading screen you can make that character go first to battle.
@PheNOMofHDC best cyclops is a guy named Jake from Dallas. He plays with Toan Nguyen. Jwong is just really careful, he can't even do cyc infinite consistently.
best strider but not enough
@insanecombo2
I think you can hold the assist button to a certain character as the lineup comes up and you'll start with that character instead.
@nigmar I agree Jake is beast!

@SirMclovin111 then don't ever go to a tournament, you will be super free and super salty.
