NSU... I know why I stayed home in Norfolk, VA. to attend local. Mr. Fears"Chief" knew what our future was and told us every day.. His most famous words were "BEHOLD THE GREEN AND GOLD!!! YES my tenor sax is proud of you ALL!!!

Absolutely has been the best for many years but had little exposure…now, the world knows!! Penn State fans at the Rose Parade were in awe with The Legion’s sound…I said to one Penn State fan “Ohio State’s sound is better, right?” …she looked at me crazily and said “nope”….I took that as a rival school not wanting to give props to a competitor…😂😂😂

After SU, this is my favorite band. The only reason they are not tops for me, is that their playlist is not as long as SUs. Their sound is more JukeBox than the human jukebox to me, especially that Spartan drumline.

If Southern, NCAT, JSU, PV, TXSU, ALST, AAMU stood in place and focused on music, there'd be nothing to see here.

It’s called, showcasing your auxiliary if they are talented and entertaining…if you have nothing more to show of your band, you drill a lot..🤷🏾♂️
Somebody forgot that despite your commentary this band was voted the #1 HBCU MARCHING band by ESPNs The Undefeated, #1 MARCHING band by HBCU Sports, #1 MARCHING band by HBCU Buzz, had the #1 & #3 halftime shows for the season by HBCU Sports and was one of the few (HBCU or PWI) bands to stop the Tournament of Roses parade and do a grandstand performance. With some of the bands you named I saw a lot of people this past season who didn't know where they should be in the drill, one member walk off the field during the drill, barely lifting their legs and sounded like hot dog water. You CZcams band directors are hilarious. Maybe you need to tell some of the bands you mentioned that they should focus more on putting on entertaining halftime show and less on stand performances. Talking about NAN drill when your only exposure to drilling is watching bands play towards the end zone.

I prefer Popeye's (SWAC Band format) over Raising Cane's.
