Asalamalaikum. Your response was incredibly beautiful and on point mashallah. However, I could be wrong and may Allah forgive me if I am, but I feel like in this day and age especially in the west it's essential that Muslim women speak up about these topics especially since these topics/ debates are focused more on women. I think it's more constructive for non-muslims to hear a Muslim woman say that she's not oppressed and that her hijab frees her from the shackles of sexual objectification and as opposed to a Muslim man claiming that Islam doesn't oppress women. it might be more useful to have a separate table with Muslim sisters so that they can have their own voice in society, and actually speak up about these topics. I feel like it would penetrate the hearts of the non-Muslims a lot more, if we showed that Muslim women also have a voice in this ummah.

"the problem with no name" will not be resolved by getting a job. I pity those women in her book who struggled. We all ask ourselves the question is this it? Being a mother and a wife as honourable as that is, doesn't give fulfilment and purpose. It is in the remembrance of Allah that hearts find rest and assurance. Initially Friedan believed that having a job would give women a purpose but she realised that many of the working class women were already working. So she changed her statement to "important careers" LOL.

Until the 20th century, men and women living in villages and engaged in agriculture. 95 percent of the people could not read or write, did not vote. Almost at the same time, men and women were given the right to go to school, to vote and to develop their personalities. And they got those rights through the development of science, and feminism has nothing to do with improving the lives of women and men. Feminism is opposed to children, mothers and housewives. Feminists are not interested in social guarantees for working mothers and affordable medicine for pregnant women and children, pensions for housewives. Feminists want to allowed to kill children (abortion), want to have the right to humiliate men, housewives and mothers in the workforce. For normal women feminism has created a lot of problems. If you believe that all people have equal rights, regardless of health status, religion, sex, race, education, material wealth and age and so on. You act for equal rights for all people, you're not a feminist. Feminists are not interested in the rights of the disabled, the poor, the elderly and so on. 20% women in US, UK, Germany, Singapore are childless and single in age 45 years, in the traditional society in age 45 years childless 3% of women (with health problem).

A fantastic response, marred only by the last tangent regarding atheism. If anything, atheism is the most unbiased approach there could ever possibly be toward this answer, considering the lack of any foresworn judgment or laws put in place. Still, it's really great to see Muslims like this man speak. We are all products of our environments but I've been trying harder recently to keep an open mind and hearing answers like this truly do help the Islamic image.

MRA's should campaign for islam. I'm thinking feminists defend islam cause in the bottom of their hearts they want a Patriarchal society with men who can provide for them while and let them have a family and take care of babies
