LMFAO "So at the end of hard day on the trail you can pee blood." Love it! I started out with a YJ. Fun times.
Right!
I've been watching a lot of JL reviews and this was one of the the most helpful. Really appreciate you filming the under carriage and pointing out the changes there. Hadn't seen those yet!
I'm loving my JLU. Today is exactly 1month and i have never felt happier with this investment.
Agreed! Finally, someone who really knows what they are talking about!
Most thorough JL video I’ve seen so far. Nice work
wow best JL video i have seen. actually goes over the important stuff.
One of the best reviews I've seen yet. Love that you actually gave technical information instead of the usual "this seat's bolsters are such and such" fluff.
Great job, I love the sense of humor. I liked the bit about the evap canister designed to rub on the driveline.
Here's some internet points for that surprisingly smooth steadicam shot at the start. You guys have been stepping up your game on these videos. And excellent review- you covered a lot of the powertrain & driveline features I was wondering about without ogling over the interior. Well done!
Just got one rubi last night in black i love it it has 60 miles so far msrb 52,790$ plus tax thats a lot of money for a jeep but I’m happy with the new changes and hopefully all those new electrical stuff doesn’t make it less reliable in water and such
This is by far the best review of the JL I've seen.
I drive a CJ7 to school, and I’m saving for a JL. The part about driving such a budget vehicle is the upgrade is so much more worth it.
That intro was awesome and unexpected! Nicely done
I can't wait to see what TeraFlex does with it!
Well I just finished signing for my JL Sahara today. Can't wait to see what lift kits you guys have in stock.
Big compliments for this perfect and very humble review! Very impressed!!!
Great review, it's nice to finally see one of these on a rack to see the differences underneath.
You guys should have a channel specialized in such in-depth review of all the other cars on the market. Great review !
Best review I've watched. Thank you very, very much for going over the details regular reviewers miss! Put my deposit down today.
Awesome job on the review, this is a review a lot of us die hard and weekend warriors wanted to see, a breakdown of the actual mechanical improvements and not just the fluff.
Best opening to a Jeep review I've seen. Keep up the great work.
Don't forget the best of them all the TJ Unlimited.
Great overview. Thanks for scratching my JL itch, for the time being
Great review, no muss no fuss, very informative.
This was a fantastic video! Great work!
Many thanks for filming the suspension. I graciously await your release of the 4 inch lift kit as soon as it is available. Cheers Oliver
Hopefully they come with a black dash, that red is a deal breaker ..
I've read that the colored dash is an option, so we can still get a plain black.
I never knew they made all those improvements. All other reviews skipped the technical stuff. Nice job.
Wow, a real review on the features that really matter. I would have to say this would be the first jeep that I would be satisfied with driving bone stock, but I know TeraFlex will come up with something to help me change my mind.
Great review, Looking forward to see what you guys can do with it.
Sticking with my XJ for now.. but this is the first Wrangler I have actually been tempted to buy.
Just recognized the copper mine in the background. Fun to realize this video was shot 15 minutes away, ha-ha.
Nice review! I would love to have one. I just can't justify the price of newer jeeps. Guess my 200k mile yj will just have to keep going.
TODD FINK wow..a 200k yj? Awesome! Mine gave me nothing problems after 80k back in the 90's when I had it. This new jeep is one good looking jeep
TODD FINK I gotta keep pushing 400k miles on my TJ inline 6 for the win
Being honest, I take my E Class Merc off road and it costs more than the JL, but has much less capability. Penny per lb, is spot on. Look at the comparison with the G-wagon! But the YJ has so much class!
I have a base JK so I have only the essentials, but I really like some of the new creature comforts and the little details. A very good evolution of the Wrangler as near as I can tell. My only fears center around ESS garbage and whether you can remove that axle disconnect without a nag alarm. If those are non-issues, then I will start saving up now.
Very well done. First video I’ve seen that goes under the vehicle. 👍🏻❤️
Awesome video as always. Can’t wait to see them on the road here shortly.
when I lifted my JK that exhaust spacer was crazu to do..took over 2 hr and had to manufactur a wrench to do it.... glad I wonnt have to do that again
I ended up cut the whole loop out and doing a straight pipe all the way out. took hours to do
Great video! I've been anxiously awaiting your comments on what you thought of the new JL's. I have a 2012 Rubicon Unlimited that had a one-and-a-half inch Tera Flex lift added by the dealer's service department in Provo, Utah before I ever took delivery of my Jeep. I've been extremely please with my Jeep. The only problem is, "Ruby," as my wife and I call her, is now at our second home on the Island of Molokai in Hawaii. I had been waiting for the 3.0 liter diesel and the 8-speed automatic for the past two or three years. (My wife's Grand Cherokee Overland is a 2014 with the diesel and 8-speed auto. This is a fabulous powertrain on the highway. We don't use her Jeep off-the-road. The only way we'll be able to keep from doing so is by buying another Rubicon---the sooner the better!) Having seen four JL's in the flesh last week at a Jeep dealership in Sandy, it'll be interesting to see if I can wait for Jeep to put the diesel into the JL. Does your shop do modifications, or do you refer all customers to either do that work themselves, or have a dealer's service department or some other shop do the work? I'd rather have you folks do it, as I've seen a number of your videos in the last 4 or 5 years. I very much appreciate your sense of humor and your way of doing business! Thanks from a loyal Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon driver with a Tera Flex suspension. Andy McKane, Springville, Utah, and Ke Nani Kai, Maunaloa, Molokai, Hawaii.
The JL just keeps looking better and better. Not sure what I think about the front axle disconnect... History tells me its a bad idea but you never know maybe it will be a good thing. Can't wait to get my hands on one!
The rock catcher LMAO YEEEESSSSSSS...
Caught that too! Very funny!
Another great vid by mr Wood. Teraflex has the best videos. Surprised by the prox sensors on JL. Was excited with JL release, JKs became real jeeps. Lol
Yeah its time.... I'm in... I'll give it a go, Finally. Coming from Xterras.
This was better than every JL video I've seen thus far short of the new superbowl commercial.
Mr. Rogers would be proud of the presenter. 😉
Man O War That would be the one and only Dr. Dennis Wood. He narrates all their videos. I'm going to drive to Utah and force him to adopt me.
He's like the preacher of jeeps
Dennis, you rock! I enjoy your videos. IMO the biggest thing Jeep needs to do with the JL is to improve the reliability over the JK. Since it is produced by Fiat-Chrysler, I have zero confidence that will be the case.
only time will tell
The JL looks awesome!!!!
Man l almost forgot it was a Teraflex commercial until the very end.
All jeeps are awesome regarless the year imo. Good vid!
I'm on my second JK and also had a Power Wagon in between. Was looking forward to a JL Unlimited Rubicon --- until I tried to test drive one. I'm 6'5" and can't get in there without hitting my head! There was no way to set the seat to where I could get to the pedals, reach the steering wheel, and not hit my knees on the wheel without bonking my skull.
Really torques me off that a tall guy can't even think of buying a JL.
Hello Bronco?
weird im 6'8'' and I fit fine in mine.
I love Teraflex. This video is better sales material here than anything Chrysler will produce.
New JL is awesome, the only people that dont like it are those that paid for a new 2016-2018 JK....the interior is worlds nicer, better trans, and the turbo 4 - wow hope to see comparison with JL turbo vs v6 soon
This video is better quality than jeep itself
I got a 2019 JL2.0 which is my first Jeep and I have loved every minute of it. Why does the 2.0 turbo get some hate? Took it to Brown's Camp in Oregon's Tillamook Forest and had no isses on any moderate trail so far and have done a black diamond pretty easily. Just seems to wanna keep going. The only issue i have with the 2.0 is how loud it is when it's turned on intially. Valves sound loud but end up quietting down after about a 5min warm up.
Well, you convinced me.
Great video on the differences!!!
Beautiful job!
Great stuff. Here in OZ we will need to wait another year. Arghh.
I look at all those electronic gizmos and think, boy I like my CJ.
Bob Hunt I bet you enjoy your TV remote and your wife probably does not wash your clothes by hand. Technology buddy, don't be scared of it, embrace it.
Denis is speaking the truth haha
I was going to get the new JL this year but I decided to wait until next year so I can get the diesel
I rarely leave my house, but I want one so bad. Would give me a good reason to get out more.
I am thinking about putting a 3.5” lift and 37’s on my JLUR. How can I keep them from sticking out so far?
So what I’m thinking is that it should be easier to modify it, right ? Add a lift, shocks, Tires.
Outstanding review! I was on the fence about getting a JLU, but now I have fewer reservations. I've read about some death wobble on a stock setup due to some poorly torqued connections--any word on that?
I saw the warning light, you guys need to put on your seat belt! Nice review.
That spot in the console is not a phone holder. It's for your keyless remote.
Is a Diesel engine choice coming? I thought u could already get a Jeep with the VM Motori Diesel in North America? Not yet???
Sign me up! Throw on a 3.5" lift and a set of 37's and it's game over. It might be time to trade in my beast mode JKU...
I love the dashboard!
Great video and information! I'll stick with my 15 2 door Rubicon. 😁
Well done. Great Video!
amazing video, so detailed
Go Dennis Go!!!
“Over 3.9 million miles of testing” and “invested 3.5 billion” should have been able to figure out how to lower the price hahaha 😂
Great video once again. Now get to work on some stuff I can toss my money at.
Was the vacuum actuated disconnect from 87 like this front axle unit ?Thanks
Can't wait... pay off my JK in 2020.. Just in time for the new JL Truck.
I really like most of this new Jeep except that dash.
I agree it would have been pretty if it was black.
I am still waiting for someone to come out with a light bar that will fit on my JLU.
Any chance that the JL's price will drop a bit as the years go on? Or are we stuck with a thing called Economic fluctuation?
so does the JK have a rear D44 or something else (MH?220)? I hear there 5 axle choices across the lineup... and I am worried that the Rubi axles will be weaker than JK44's (the tougher/locking axles are the ONLY reason to buy a Rubi in my mind) Something is telling me to buy a Rubicon Recon before it's too late. Any thoughts?
Also, the Rubicon has a 4:1 transfer case ratio, electronic sway bar disconnects, front and rear locking diffs, and it all comes with a warranty. The Rubicon is the only way to go if you want to do moderate off roading without spending a lot of extra money in aftermarket parts
Nice video...up 'till the end. That "out of focus around the edges" effect, I hate it.You aren't the only one using it. Seems like everybody is using it these days. For most folks, I'm sure it's fine, but some of us don't have perfect vision. For us sometimes the vision gets fuzzy all by it's self. Then you use this effect to focus the attention on the product. It isn't needed, we are already looking at the product. When this effect is used, it takes a split second to determine if it's my vision or the picture I'm looking at.This distracts me just enough to miss some detail I was looking for in the video.Other than that, nice video.
Hi whats the color of this JL rubicon? Billet Silver ? Thanks
Great vid!
what about death wobble !!!??
Where’s the CT3 for the JL. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting.
At the end of the day, It doesn't really matter what you drive as long as it's a Wrangler.
What type of joint?
Is it me or does that back door look way smaller than the front door. Whats going on there?
Hey TeraFlex if you have a spare JL I’d be happy to borrow it
And it's not a phone holder. It's for the key fob.
Great video !! Does anyone know if the towing capacity went up on the JL bs 3500 lb w/ JKUR ?
Grey Goose 4x4 saw the website yesterday for for the new JL'S, it said 3500lbs max towing.
Hahah i like that drag race!
I would have loved a small 4.2-4.7 liter V8 :(
It won't be long until we start stuffing 6.4L LS3s and 392 Hemi V8s under the hood of the JL just like we did the JK. One thing I don't like is the location if the front indicator lights. One of the first mods to a new Jeep is replace the fenders to clear larger tires. Now we are going to need to relocate the indicator lights back to where they were on the JK.
Isn't there a new body coming out for 2019?
Justin Bergeron there’s a diesel coming out in 2019 that’s what I’m waiting for I’m trading my Jeep in for that
TSAP 17 - They have been saying they're going to put a diesel engine in the Jeep since 2000 Europe gets it but we do not.
I wouldn't hold my breath
Nice Video.. I LOVE mine!
I wonder how the new JL Rubicon will be with 35s - Dennis?
Jeep themselves is advertising throwing 35s on the rubicon with no issues.
TJ still the best jeep.
Bbbut soccer moms didn't buy TJ's. :(
Miss my TJ lol
Sounds like an amazing review... too bad I didn’t understand anything! 😂😳
I have never seen inside of beauty up close and personal
More electronics equal more problems
not true
Agreed.
maybe years ago but not anymore
but i kinda like bulilt in traction control like BLD
