Dang, that Bounce Ball moves looks really fun to control, and it really keeps the pace going!
It would also be cool if Sonic also had his Air Dash move as an option as well.

The fact that tails could not cancel his flight in the OG is sad
The fact the Tails has never had this ability to begin with is even more sad (at least Cream had this ability in the Sonic Advance games)

thats literally the point though, the idea is to sacrifice your speed for height
remove the slow landing and the ability becomes a lot less committal

Fun Fact: on fan-games. Tails had flight cancel turning either himself into a ball or dropping himself

I'm still eagerly awaiting modders to bring Amy's Advance moveset back, but these are cool! Still genuinely baffles me that SA2 is the only Sonic game where Sonic has the bounce attack. I think the animations on the bounce attack and the instashield could definitely use some work, especially since the instashield one doesn't do a great job showing off the range of the attack, but these are awesome moves I wish were in the base game.

Sonic superstars is the best sonic game and it’s perfect
Classic Glide (gain speed over time+being able to spindash out of a glide landing)+Bounce fix (bouncing off a badnik gives you the corresponding height+iniciating Knuckles glide on top of a monitor or a badnik bounces you high)+remixed Press Factory+Golden Capital+Frozen Base (Act 1 only)=Peak Sonic Superstars (for me at least)

Honestly, I don't see much a difference from Amy. What exactly does One-Jump Rush do??
You basically perform the Hammer Rush move quicker with one jump, instead of two jumps.
I hope SEGA will make these abilities playable in Superstars at a time 👍✌️😎❤️

I wish there was a mod to make each characters super forms unique, tails and knuckles getting their respective colors from s3K, Amy getting some type of change with her spines , etc

Insta sheild was one of my favorite moves and I hoped we wouldn’t just get stupid dropdash
Insta shield could be merged with drop dash like in sonic 3 from sonic origins.
Hopefully the super peel out is next.
Does this version of the Insta-shield grant split-second invincibility and/or reflect projectiles?
This version of the Insta-Shield is used to make Sonic invincible and cause damage to near enemies for a half second.
Okay, I haven't played superstars yet, so I need some explanation:
How is Knux' normal glode is different from the "classic" one? I seen the gameplay, I know the story, but I don't know the intricacies of certain mechanics.
In normal Sonic Superstars, if you glide with Knuckles you will not gain momentum like in the classic Sonic games, and you just glide with the same speed.
Insta shield, Peelout and advance, and origins amy moveset Should all be unlockable with medals.
It would have been cool if trip got one too

wait, there are people who actually prefer the insta-shield? I unlocked it in mania and I've gotta say- a slightly bigger attack hitbox is something I always forgot I could have when it would've been useful and useless when I was actually trying to use it
There's a 3&K romhack called Sonic 3 Complete. It gives the insta-shield its scrapped ability to deflect projectiles. But yeah, otherwise it's situtational.
@@tuluflulu Instashield gives s letting you bypass objects like flamethrowers in launch base zone in 3 and K. Its is far from situational. It also offers some crazy bounce moments.

In normal Sonic Superstars, if you glide with Knuckles you will not gain momentum like in the classic Sonic games, and you just glide with the same speed.
Knuckles glide was not that op in the classic games. It had a set speed after a bit and did not gradually increase. Source: I have played the games so much especially 3 and K.
it does increase but only on a linear trajectory, very few times you get to put that to use in levels

Yes, but you need to hold down the jump button in order to activate the move.

for any of you in the comments thinking "this should be in the game", Sonic only got the bounce bracelet in sonic adventure 2, and I might seem like I'm nitpicking but Sega literally hired a lore manager for sonic (and the fans would be angry).
oh and also imagine if they had an insta shield and it was just the dropdash graphic.
I don't hate these mods they actually look very fun!

Really? Trip’s abilities are mainly about platforming and climbing, I think the bounce ball suits sonic more because it suits his gameplay style of being fast.
He also gets this same ability in sonic adventure
