- Rosaria Butterfield and her family practice “radically ordinary hospitality,” where they open their home to strangers, neighbors, church friends, and anyone in need. The Butterfields believe many Christian families are too busy or too preoccupied with acquisition and achievement to follow God’s clear command about hospitality, and as a result, we miss the opportunity to share the Gospel in tangible ways.

Rosaria also describes some of the challenges of hospitality - criticism from neighbors, conflicting worldviews around your table, and all of the time/energy/budget to pull it off. She concluded with a powerful story about her atheist mom’s deathbed conversion to Christ.
Sooooo convicted...oh my goodness
What a wonderful reminder this morning. In the words of 1 Peter 4:9-11, "Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies-in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To Him belong all glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen."
This series was awesome- thank you for bringing Rosaria on!

Jesus is the cure for homophobia. Let Jesus resolve Adams fall let him take your shame. Thus, back in the presence of God

Yes!!!
We are meant to share our struggles.
I have learned so much from this, thank you! What she said about us obeying and being hospitable and not relying on our giftedness but on the fact that God will draw people to Himself is so freeing! Also what she said about it not being about presenting a perfect home and dishes that match, she is right, that should not be what stops us from being hospitable and sharing the gospel through hospitality. Fantastic interview.
Sin is a sneaky mother. Most people don't think they have it.
Part of me didn't want to listen to this broadcast. I don't have time, I don't have money, so many excuses.
