  • If you had to pick just one rowing exercise, what would you pick? The chest supported row would probably be our pick for its versatility, ease of set up, stability, strength adaptations, and all around awesomeness. When done well, it can be a very effective back strengthener and developer, working the lats, posterior delts, low trap, mid trap, upper traps, and more!
    This video goes over the technique for the movement, showing common mistakes, best ways to set it up, and lots of other great tips!

    Very well explained. Thank you. Didn't like the inclusion of the bands at the end, but still a very informative breakdown of an exercise I am eager to try.

    Great video! I enjoy these CS rows a lot, but wonder if they are redundant with single-arm DB rows. What are the pros/cons of each? Trying to simplify my routine, so if I can eliminate one of these exercises that would be great. Thanks for your advice!

      I personally think CS rows are much better. They’re more time efficient since they’re bilateral (but can also be done unilaterally if you want).

    How do you deal with the high pressure on your chest when using heavy weight? It affects my breathing and fatigues me, causing the set to end earlier than it probably should.

    • @soonerborn7603
      @soonerborn7603 Před rokem +2

      I feel a really good burn in the lats if you tweak the movement a bit. Pulling to the waist while keeping the elbows mostly locked in one position feels really good on the lats!

      @ourclarioncall Před rokem +1

      @@soonerborn7603I think I feel my lats best around 30 degrees in the bench , and also a supinated grip with dumbbells. Closer to 45 degrees I feel my middle back and upper back better. I need to keep experimenting with angles etc

  • @Sirvalian
    @Sirvalian Před rokem

    "More of your upper back than your lats" - Which is the whole point of rowing. The lats have pullups, pulldowns and pullovers.

    • @FroscoTraining
      @FroscoTraining Před 10 měsíci

      Not true... youre right about pulldowns targeting lats, but like he said, it depends how you do it.
      In saying that, this isn't the best demonstration of how to perform the movement. He has some good points though.

    To the camaraman: Please stop moving around so much, its defeating the purpose of understanding the form. Two angles max per move, not 180 and up and down, its very confusing.
