Rob brother, long-time fan from Kentucky in the States here. Just wanted to say thank you for all the amazing informative videos over the years. Watching both you and some old episodes of Sharpe (my dad was a fan when it came on) has taught me a lot about the militaria of England and Canada. You sir should be a military history teacher we need more intuitive people like you teaching the future generations..

I wish you'd do a video on the Pig War of 1859 and the San Jaun Islands border dispute, and the Royal Marine garrison that remained there until the dispute was settled in the 1870s. A hothead named Capt. Pickett was there, as well as an Army engineer who'd later write the book Robert's Rules of Order.

They “Duffel Cut” the rifles to disguise them. Great historical content, well researched and the contributing experts added valuable detail and colour to the presentation. The Fenian raids did nothing to advance Irish independence, however, the sense of vulnerability and a spark of Canadian nationalism likely hastened the move toward confederation.
