  • I was offered to exchange my SWM Silver Vase 440 for Benelli TRK 251, I had known it was going to be weak but the top speed suprised me :)
    In the end I decided to keep my SWM but Benelli, considering it is only 250 ccm, is really nice bike full of technology (ABS, USB, well functional windshield, LED lights, 6 gears, LED display, ...). It has not enough of torque (compared to the 440 ccm SWM engine), but I can imagine to travel long distances in speed much higher than 100 km/h, even on highway.

    It looks very nice. But in these amount of money, why not to buy Zontes T310 or Voge 300DS which are 300cc. In addition could you please tell which s an average speed for a small trip of max 2 hours with two passengers (80 and 50 kilos accordingly) without vibrations and too much pressure for the moto?.

    Ahoj, díky za video. Jak si s touto motorkou spokojený? Přecházím ze 125 ccm skútra, tak jestli mi to bude stačit? (173 cm, 89 kg), není to líný na předjetí/do kopců? Přiznám se, že mě láká teď ta cena (95 000 kč), což je super. Jak je na tom kvalita/kvalita zpracování/servis atd., díky :-)

    • @janrajce
      @janrajce  Před 4 lety +2

      Čau, ja jí měl jen na testovací jízdu. Oproti 125 ccm to asi potáhne o dost líp, ja to srovnával se 440 ccm jednoválcem a oproti tomu to bylo fakt jak odrážedlo. Aby to nějak jelo, tak to musíš fakt točit a stejně ti do kopce asi průměrná Oktavka ujede. Nicméně je to 250 ccm, nedaj se čekat zazraky, já bych do toho asi šel, na dlouhý cestování to je pecka stroj a jak to rozmotáš na vyšší rychlost, tak už jí to bude držet celej den :)

      150kmh is very good for a 250cc adv, compared to for example suzuki v strom 250 which goes max an indicated 136kmh. Anyway, between this and the v strom, i would probably go with the benelli, its lighter, 1 cylinder so less maintenance, its faster

    • @culturedsquid8442
      @culturedsquid8442 Před 2 lety

      @@disciplinized7293 idk about the less maintenance part , Suzuki is generally much more reliable than Benelli is , and the Parallel Twin used in the V strom is a proven beast when it comes to reliability while the chinese engine in the trk isn't as tried and tested . But the TRK is quicker , lighter and cheaper so I get why you'd go for it .

      @@texastiger7139 it's not a secret , the engines benelli uses rn are all Chinese . Benelli is Chinese owned .. So they use the engines they are given and design everything else themselves. it's not the end of the world though , Chinese motorcycles have come a long way the last few years . But still they lack the exotic factor of European ones or the reliability of Japanese ones .

    Benelli kinda lies about the top speed. And I know this from experience. At 120 km/h, my bike is actually doing 108/9 km/h.
    Also there is a review of Benelli 502C by a, I think, Portuguese moto vlogger and he also noted that although the speedometer showed 170 km/h, but the GPS was showing something like 140 km/h (I might not be quoting the exact number but the disparity was big). So yes, this 150 km/h might just be 120/130 km/h.

    • @janrajce
      @janrajce  Před 4 lety +3

      Hi, I can't confirm or disagree with your comment but the friend (driving Honda Dominator in the video) said that he was going around 150 km/h too.
      I remember from past (15 yrs ago) that we used to compare Japanese and Italian bikes and the Japanese always showed higher speeds than Italians and some people said that it was because Japanese producers (or goverment?) wanted to slow down the riders by showing higher speed :) I don't know where is the truth neither if I can call Benelli "Italian"...so thx for comment and let us know if you find the truth :)
