      @@boltblazer1670 Khris Middleton. My thought is that if Jerami is viewed as an upgrade due to his off-ball fit, age, relationship with Dame, and injury history (or relative lack thereof), then they could find some sort of three-team trade. Maybe the Lakers decide Jerami would require too much draft capital but the asking price for Khris would be more reasonable. So something like Jerami to Milwaukee for Khris and a 2031 swap, then Khris and Banton to the Lakers for Rui, DLo, and a future first. Maybe the details need to be reworked, but something like that was my thought

    I like Billups and think we are lucky to have him especially at this time to mentor young guys. I am happy if he stays until we are good. But Detroit has lots of cap room and we could trade Ant , Grant and Chauncey to Detroit for as many picks we can get including 2025. Outside the box idea. Detroit is tired of being in Lottery. We have to get Cooper Flagg! Win-Win! Go Joe! Make it happen

    Lakers could be partners at training camp. They send us Rui, Gabe, and DeAngelo Russell, along with two firsts, and we send them Jerami and RW3. If sending two firsts is a blocking point by September, then we will ask them to send us Knecht (rookies can't be traded for a month after they have been signed, or so I've been told) and thus we'll count that as a first and reduce our demand accordingly. We may have to move off of two of the following players for roster and salary cap purposes: Rajon, Murray, Walker, or Banton. We then can flip Russell and Gabe for future assets.

  • @jesuschristislord8115
    @jesuschristislord8115 Před 2 měsíci +4

    I really want Cooper Flagg. Is there a chance we could acquire another '25 lottery pick to better our chances for the #1 pick next year?
    Perhaps Nets
    Nets get: '29-1st, '30-2nd, C Ayton, SG Simons, F & PG
    Blazers get: '25 - 1st, PG Schroder, C Claxton, SF Bogdanovic, PF Finney Smith
    And Blazers should trade grant to Lakers for Rui, 1 other player and an unprotected 1st.

    • @gamechanger114
      @gamechanger114 Před 2 měsíci +1

      You can't trade Ayton or Simons for just a "possible" good 1st rd pick. And definitely not BOTH. That is honestly the worst trade idea, I've ever heard for the Blazers. Trading Blazers 3 best players for essentially no players Blazers actually would like, but just two 1st rd picks would be absolutely ridiculous for the Blazers smh

  • @jayi.6448

    I'm curious if this trade would work (bear with me for a second before wholly dismissing it): Portland trades Jeremi Grant 4 yrs $29.8M + Robert Williams $12.43M for Brooklyn's Ben Simmons & Cam Thomas (with Thomas doing a sign & trade where Portland gets him for 4 years extension and they either rehabilitate Simmons or let him go along with his $40M salary). Portland would also get a 2025 1st (either theirs or the OKC/HOU/Phoenix pick) + a 2029 1st (from Hou/Dal/or Phx). Why? Portland gets $40M expiring on Simmons & a guard who scores 22 a game in Cam Thomas. Why would the Nets do this? They get 2 quality players that can help them immediately while also shedding themselves immediately of Simmons. Just a thought. It is hard finding a good trade tho...

    • @jonathanevers8019
      @jonathanevers8019 Před 2 měsíci

    Keep Ayton for next year for two reasons. To see if the final two months he played were a fluke and to see how he is used vs Clingdon and Williams and Grant.

    Problems trading Grant and Ant is they are both overpaid. Also, One can't play a lick of defense, and the other other takes alot of plays off... That makes it harder to sell them especially under this new collective bargaining agreement...Our issue is these players don't fit our timeline and take away valuable court time for the young core we want to keep. We may have to take less for the betterment of our developing this core

      You haven't said Camara or Walker although they have unguaranteed contracts, probably because you are thinking they are good. No way from OKC at any piece of that OKC trade. Destroy OKC's ability to live when they become a 2nd apron team by taking EXCELLENT cheap players they have locked up for 4-5 years, all players that every OKC fan and front office would rather have than Jerami Grant on top of that. Absolutely NO CHANCE that Joe Wiggins or Dort would ever be traded by OKC for Grant, evene one by one straight up. The money and it with OKCs 3 stars are already 100% reasons against it..... add on Jerami is a Horrible rebounder and all 3 of those guys shoot threes better than jerami and 2 of the 3 are significantly better defenders than grant overall, and the shooting and defense are the 2 reasons you said OKC would even want him. Theres no team less likely to trade for Jerami in the entire league imo
