Releasing Turtles Back Into The Ocean & A Detailed Tour At Disney's Vero Beach Resort!

- In today's vlog we head to Disney's Vero Beach resort for the annual Tour de Turtles event, where they attach transponders on turtles and release them back into the ocean. These turtles have had hatchlings and those hatchlings are also released into the ocean. These amazing animals then become ambassadors for their species and help with scientific research that will further the conservation effort. It was really a great experience to watch them head towards the ocean and continue their journey. Then we head into the resort for a complete tour of the hotel grounds and amenities. Although we didn't get a chance to see any of the rooms, we were able to see the villa buildings and the cottage buildings. We also check out the spa, community centers, lobby, guest recreational areas and pool. This resort had a very relaxed feel and had a beautiful beach view. We had a great time at Tour de Turtles and really enjoyed exploring the resort. We hope you enjoyed this look at Disney's Vero Beach DVC Resort! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

Can’t believe I made the outro! Thank you so much!!! It was great to meet you!
Riley Storey you made his outro? Nice!
Yay Riley :) you look very cool in your sunnies
Thank you for doing the outro! You did a great job!
Great job!
AND in your Tracker shirt! Well done!
Hey Tim and Jenn, my name is Sam. I have been a subscriber to this channel for a while now, and I was just popping by to say thank you. I have a chronic illness, and listening to your videos is one of my favorite ways to relax. I was getting a test done today, and had the techs turn on your channel. It made the time pass so much quicker! So thanks again for being you, and before I forget, congratulations on Baby Tracker!
What a great idea. Tim has such a calming voice. My granddaughter loved listening to the videos as a baby. 😁💖😁
Releasing of the turtles was so beautiful to watch.
A special thank you to all the people who do the research
to protect these wonderful yet endangered species.
Thank you Tim for letting us come along to see this
fascinating experience.
I’ve stayed here the past couple summers as a DVC member and i love it so much. it NEVER feels crowded and Tim is right about the resort being relaxed. I definitely recommend staying there!
We will definitely be staying there one day!
I go to this resort every year and nobody ever talks about it! It's so underrated, I love it so much
amelia I agree so much I love this resort
Haven't even watched the whole video. But Releasing turtles......!!!! What a wonderful thing to experience 💚
Yeah that is a wonderful thing
It really was an amazing thing to witness!
its so beautiful watching them go back to the sea & the little babies😍 This is such a pretty resort!
I don’t know why but this video made me emotional. It was so beautiful seeing those turtles go into the ocean!! Thank you so much.
I had no idea Disney had a resort in Florida outside of Disney world
they also have one in South Carolina: Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort.
They have them all around the world. Disney vacation club is a disney timeshare.
Yeah I live here I didn’t know for a while so it’s okay like 15 years I didn’t know and I’ve lived here all my life
Same here!
We will definitely be staying there one day! It looks so nice! And we plan on going up to Hilton Head to see that Disney resort too!
I had a professor in college that worked solely on turtle conservation research and taught us a TON about how hatchlings know which way to dig out of their nest and which way to swim once they reach the water. These tiny creatures are *amazing* and I highly encourage everyone to take 2 seconds out of their day to look up a fun fact about their navigation abilities. So cool you got to take part in this, Tim!
It really was an amazing experience! It so neat that so many people are working with animals doing research that people might not even know is happening on a daily basis!
Watching the turtles make it to the water was kind of therapeutic :O ;D
We missed you by a day! I was taking video on Sunday and someone commented that they seemed to have a lot of vloggers visiting over the weekend.
It's a great resort. Very low key and laid back and designed for just kicking back and relaxing. Disney theming is subtle compared to resorts at the parks and the overall feel is that of an old beach hotel. Dining options are limited but very good and they put fresh cookies out in the lobby every day for guests and that's when the lobby tends to be most active.
It'a great place to stay so the two of you (three of you!) will have to head out there for a long weekend at some point in the future.
The turtle releasing made me cry my eyes out. Sea Turtles are my favorite animal and they are just amazing for doing this at the resort to help them!!!!
I loved how the baby turtles were flapping their flippers, waving bye 👋🏼 to everyone at 4:00, as the lady was taking them down, like they were in a parade! So adorable! 🤗
The water machine - it's a Vichy Shower! And it IS awesome!
"We'll go until someone tells me not to be there".... Words to live by 👍🏽
Tim could be the late great. Steve Irwin. So humble and wholesome
Please keep up the hotel/resort tours, can you do a couple of the non-Disney "good neighbor" properties at WDW one day?
This is a good idea!
Sure thing! I think I might have to combine a few into one video as they usually don't have as many amenities as the disney resorts.
@@TheTimTracker love your channel Tim. I'm a video creator from the Bahamas. Your vlogs have been a big inspiration to me. I was in Orlando recently. Maybe next visit I'll run into you guys
That's very nice that the hotel does the lighting thing for the turtles. So they don't get confused .
I live about an hour South from Vero Beach. But my dad lives there, so one day we visited this resort and walked the beach. It was really nice and I almost cried when I watched the sea turtles go back to the ocean. This was an awesome video. Love you guys!
That is so cool what they do for the Turtles an the precautions they took with the resort to make sure they can still come to that beach.
OMG Baby Turtles!
O...M...G...! Disneys Vero Beach Resort looks sooo dee-lux!!! I want to go there sooo much! I mean, wow! I'm speechless...
My son is currently an intern with the UCF Marine Turtle Research Group. I get to see him work with these beautiful turtles & their hatchlings every week!!!
No way! You guys visited my home town of Vero Beach!
Vero is my home town for the last 13 years. Great town to raise kids. Thanks for the video.
beautiful seeing those turtles
Wow this looks like such an amazing event to attend. We have to check it out! 💙🐢
It is so beautiful and relaxing at vero beach! Thanks for the tour :)
You are welcome! It was such a relaxing resort!
The little hatchlings were SO adorable, heading for the ocean! As were the moms, heading back out. I saw a documentary (may have been Jacques Cousteau, not sure) when I was a little kid about the Galapagos sea turtles, and showing this whole process, and I fell in love with turtles, and their dedication to the whole "going home to nest every year" process. I also found out they "cry" during the egg laying process to flush excess salt from seawater from their systems, but it touched my heart as a little kid, and I NEVER forgot that image of the mommies crying. :( :(
I've not stayed at Verso, but have toured the outside, and it looks gorgeous. I'd love to stay there, or Hilton Head DVC sometime. So family oriented, so much to do, and yet so laid back. Buoys and gulls - I JUST go that - ROTFL!!!!!! I wanna rent, a unicorn, I wanna rent a unicorn!!!!! :) You always do a FANTASTIC job at your tours, Tim, with points of reference, etc. Bravo!!!
Big hugs to you, Jenn, Baby Boy Tiny Tracker, and Bandit!!
Awww the wittle babies
I so love Disney's Vero Beach and Disney's Hilton Head Resort. We are so happy to see you shed light on this amazing resort.
We plan on heading up to Hilton Head Resort one day too!
We stayed in one of the cottages last year and couldn't recommend them enough! The views from the balcony overlooking the beach are incredible and the cottages themselves are beautiful.
The release was amazing! Tear jerker
Aww turtles are lovely creatures.
I've always called it bean bag toss. Had never heard it called cornhole until I started watching your videos. The term corn hole just reminds me of Bevis and Butthead 😂
TRANSPONS-- TRANSPONSTER!!
THAT'S NOT EVEN A WORD!
lol
Hey Tim and Jen, long time viewer first time commenter. I just wanted to say thank you for the awesome tour and thank you so much for showing the pressed penny machine. I got to take my grandfather to Disney World last fall and he was OBSESSED with them! Every single one we saw we had to stop and let him add to his collection (I think he left with three-to-four books full of pennies). He passed away last week and it was a bittersweet reminder when Tim pointed out the presses. It's not much, but it really meant a lot to me, so thank you. The whole family loves you guys and what you do, thank you for always bringing a smile and a little bit of magic to our days.
Disney Vero beach rocks. Everyone should go once or twice maybe more....
Just want to add something Tim - The Jungle Trail is just up 510 (The road with the Bridge over the Indian River) a little ways and is where most people bike. There is also a nice walking/bike trail along A1A that is paved and set back from the road. That whole area around Disney Vero Beach is one of the best places for riding bikes with awesome scenery! Also, the Sebastian Inlet State park is a few miles north on A1A and is a great place to visit too, as it has a couple of nice beaches, a fishing pier and one of the best surfing spots in the state of Florida! We just moved from Vero Beach to Sebastian recently and love the area! The resort is actually closer to Sebastian than it is to Vero Beach, but I guess Disney thought VB sounded better! Have a great week guys!
How sweet the baby turtles🐢
We love this resort. You're right that its a very laid back resort. We have stayed at the Inn and at the Villa's. The Inn is more like a hotel and the Villa is more like an apartment. There is a grocery story close by off property where we buy our groceries. We usually go off property for lunch/dinner. The seafood is amazing!
Absolutely love Vero!!! We are DVC members and it’s always fun to go to Vero and experiencing a more relaxed Disney!
We want to stay there! It looks so nice!
Enjoyed seeing the turtles head out to sea and getting the inside scoop on this resort. Very nice! Thanks for sharing!
This is so wholesome 💚 Go turtles!
I LOVE TURTLES!
We were lucky to witness this on our one and only trip to Vero Beach back in 2007, it was fantastic to watch and they do a great job with their conservation of these beautiful creatures.
I cried watching the turtles as they made their way to freedom ...great vlog ...another bucket list resort
What a fantastic resort, I can't wait to get back there. The food was fantastic at the restaurants and the smell in the lobby is unforgettable!!! Oranges! Thanks for the tour and memories of our trip there!
Thanks for exploring one of my favorite DVC resorts ❤️❤️❤️. The water slide is so fun!! Wind & Waves is delicious 😋. And the rooms are gorgeous!!
We LOVE Vero Beach Resort! It's so relaxing. Many times we use it as an addition to our WDW vacation.. either before to relax a couple days before we do the parks, or after to wind down from the WDW craziness. 😄 It truly is just SO relaxing and peaceful there.. and you still get the Disney-ness lol.. we also have stayed many times at the Hilton Head Island resort, which is also beautiful and relaxing, but we tend to like Vero better because it's right on the beach, whereas Hilton Head has a separate beach house that you have to take a shuttle or drive to.
Loved the video.. made it feel like I was back at one of my favorite places! ❤
Wow, thank you so much for showing the turtle release, love your vlogs so so much, watch every day. Keep up with the terrific job your doing, please give Hen a hug for us!!
Vero beach is amazing resort. LOVE staying there!
This looks so lovely, plenty of children things ie games etc, thank you Tim for taking us along, I would love to meet you and Jenn hope we bump into you two in 2020 xx
This was was amazing, the tour the turtles must’ve been amazing to witness! Thanks for the vlog!
So excited to watch this one! Went with my husband and one year old daughter in June... staying in a one bedroom villa there is great with a one year old... she loved the pirate dinner and pirate splash pad! 😸
I love Vero Beach it’s my favorite Disney Resort, 💚🐢
Amazing footage to the beautiful turtles. Following behind the cute babies was rather cinematic!
Aww how beautiful 💖
We LOVE that place.. we try to go every February....
Thomas Aebisher That’s awesome!
Ahh yes vero beach my home town!! Love going there to get a dole whip when my annual pass has black out dates!
I always wanted to see this resort. Thank you so much for the tour. Also loved the turtles!!
Fun to see a tour of the resort! Thanks for sharing! 🐢
Awww all of the baby turtles are so adorable.
This is just lovely. Thank you, Tim for sharing it with us! I'd always wondered what the Vero Beach resort looked like.
This was so amazing to watch! I didn't even know this resort existed! I'll have to keep it in the list for my husband and I when we travel!
The turtles gave THIS pregnant lady a lot of feels. Thanks for sharing!
Yay! Perfect timing for a Tim tracker video! ❤️😊
Oh my goodness I’m sat here in tears (happy tears of Hope) watching the release of the turtles 🐢, I love watching things like this.
Stay safe in the sea, stay away from nets and plastic bags, swim on the currents and rips in the sea, say hi to Crush and Squirt if you see them surfing the tide of the Eastern Australia Current....totally righteous dude xxxx
The hotel looks lovely 😊
Why am I crying Tim! 🐢
Great video. Really enjoyed this one. Use to love to watch the turtles on Pensacola Beach when I lived there.
I live in Sebastian and have visited the resort on occasion. I can assure you the food there is delicious. We also have great restaurants just south in Vero Beach. The Ocean Grill is superb!!!
Absolutely amazing
Beautiful awesome shots Tim! Sea turtles are my favorite! And that was amazing!
Great tour of an amazing resort!
Awsome you made it to Vero. That’s were we stayed last year before driving up to Cooper creek then spotting you guys slurping the ice cream in adventure land. Vero is such a nice hotel and so peaceful. It’s Disney class service without the intensity of Disney world. He you’re doing a full review from the venue and checking out local restaurants too. Best wishes to Jen and bump.
It's interesting how in FL they don't have people with poles waving off diving seagulls trying to eat the hatchlings as they make their way to the water. In Padre Island National Seashore we have a dozen volunteers doing that on the sand release and even up to waist deep in the surf trying to deter gull feasting. Also, it's also surprising how the staff just leaves the nest the way it is even though it's vulnerable to predators instead of incubating the eggs, thus increasing the number of endangered turtles.
There is a distinct advantage to leaving the eggs in the nests to incubate as the turtles gain much needed strength from digging themselves out of the sand and making their way to the ocean. It's also pretty uncommon for the babies to come out of the sand during the day when the seagulls are active. The turtles you might have seen may have been Kemp's Ridley, which are extremely rare and critically endangered so they need as much help as possible.
What a pleasant surprise to see release of baby turtles. So sweet. Also, I didnt know Disney had a resort in southern Florida. Very nice. Thank you so much for sharing.
That was an amazing video about the turtles. Thanks 😊
I am a huge turtle lover and this video made my heart smile. Thank you :)
What a beautiful thing to experience❣️
I’m not crying you’re crying! 😭 so so amazing!!
Just stayed at Hilton head last week!!! It’s so much fun you bike or take a shuttle to get to beach very cool I loved it make sure to go!!
I truly enjoy every video, thank you guys!
What an amazing thing to be a part of! Turtles are so cool. By the way, the "water massage" thing is called a vichy shower, and it's AMAZING!
Karly Haggerty Yes! It’s always an interesting experience!
Love love this Tim. Our parents took us here when we were little. We can’t wait to go back again. Love your videos. Thanks for being an inspiration to us. Love,
Kyla and Kalel
Our family going there Nov2021. Thank you for sharing. Gives me a good look what is there.
I waited for this video forever, I’ve been vacationing at Disney Vero Beach Resort for the past 6 years. And have always gone the week of Tour De Turtles but I went last week instead of this week. I’m so sad I couldn’t have met you but happy that you are exploring the resort because it is a great place to stay.
Fantastic video. I especially loved the turtle release.
Tim: I still want to stay here one night, it seems very relaxed, very quiet
Loud bug noises in the background
I used to work at Disney’s Vero Beach resort.
The massages used to be on tables by the pool. The current spa area used to be the DVC sales center.
Tick Tock the crocodile is a topiary on property and his song plays in the tunnel.
Locals often come to DVB to eat and are disappointed they have to walk from the parking lot across the street. Sometimes a golf cart would shuttle guests.
The character breakfast used to be Goofy and his son Max and it was held Saturday morning in Shutters. The room where they were having it in your video was only used for holiday meals or group events.
They also closed in the wall to the restaurant and relocated the entrance on the enclosed porch to the side.
They seem to have covered up a cool framed vintage swimming suit with DVC advertisement.
The beach rentals used to be on top of the ramp by the beach entrance.
The restaurant used to be called Shutters and had an outdoor patio that was later enclosed due to weather. There was also a fine dining restaurant called Sonyas- named for the hotel manager.
There didn’t use to be a store by the pool.
The store by the lobby has a fun hidden Mickey in the truck with oranges wall decoration.
The guests used to have to go out at night to see the sea turtles hatch and the number of people was limited. Sea turtles go to the ocean at night.
The resort is north of town on A1A.
My family and I used to stay there all the time. My favorite memory was when we got to make paper airplanes and throw them from the top floor in the lobby(I accidentally hit the checkin CM😂). Highly recommend going after a WDW trip for a nice relaxing end to your vacation.
That sounds like such a great memory from your family vacation!
The Inn has the studio rooms, the Vacation Homes are the one and two bedroom rooms and the Cottages are the 3 bedroom villas.
This is one of your best videos. Thank you. I love turtles
Another wonderful Vlog!
Also stayed at vero multiple time I like it better bc of mini golf and has a good Disney vibe. Recommend here it’s very nice make sure to stay! The character dinning buffet is excellent to!
Holy cow Tim, this video has some amazing shots. Those shots of the baby turtles were fantastic.
I love this resort I have been many times
Also look in the chandelier because there is paper airplanes from rainy days
Yesss been waiting for a new vid!
looks so nice, especially by the water/beach. relaxing. must check it out.
