This helped me a lot thank you ! A disconnected cable as in the video made the wipers only work while car was moving and washer only in rear... now fixed!
Mine was sticky n eventually lever broke. Pakistani mechanics managed to open the bonnet cleaned the lock put a new liver. But they did not do the job properly. The bonnet wouldnt close like before. I had to bang it hard few times. A couple of days later i found out my front wiper wouldnt work when the car is stationary. Only it worked when the car is on the move. Wiper spray was completly dead. I was breaking my head. Took it to few garages nobody knew whats going on. Halfords said they are busy kwikfit said they dont do this kinda jobs but they were baffled. Eventually i found out on google its something to do with the bonnet sensor. Took my car back to the pakistani cow boys. Initially they refused to check then agreed. The same mechanic removed everything sorted the sensor (connected it properly) sorted the cables more grese and everything started working. Basically they did not do the job properly the first time. I paid them £114 just to change the handle and clean the latch. They charged me for the cowboy job. After 2nd visit bonnet closes better as well. Thank god.Luckily googled saved me some money.
