Maui, HI; the average home for sale is 2-4 million= 1 story w/ no sea view or pool or nearby beach acess; but there are also $25 million in wailea& kaanapali gated communities. Those of use who grew up here& actually live here, cant afford it. Average pay is $15-18 per hr; because most the homes are canadian or celebrity seasonal summer home buys, pushing the market up with the already huge demand because americans think HI is “paradise” with no prblems. Milk is$8-10, eggs are $8-16, gas at costco is $50-100 a gallon. Its all imported here. After getting a degree in collage, hrly career pay unless your a dr or dentists or brain surgeron, heart surgeon or anesthesiologist- is $20. Yep. Think twice before you move here.
