Wind Tunnel Testing for ASCE 7

Wind tunnel research for ASCE 7 is targeting the 2028 edition of the standard for the inclusion of a new wind load methodology for structural design. Principal investigator Greg Kopp, Ph.D., ImpactWX Chair in Severe Storms Engineering describes the testing set up and procedure for the research he is leading at the Alan G. Davenport Wind Engineering Group Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel Laboratory at Western University.
