- Welcome back to another Lukeovision reaction video!
Today, I thought it would be cool to look at the fan favourites from the Melodifestivalen 2010 - 2020!
I will be looking at the favourites vs the winners and deciding which one I would have preferred to see represent Sweden in those respective years!
THANK YOU to 'Kallekleberg' on Instagram for making such an amazing playlist for me!
Apologies for the weird cut during Amazing, Heartbreak Hotel and Oh my God.
Diversity makes ESC such a fantastic competition!

#Melodifestivalen #SwedenESC #SwedenAtEurovision - Zábava
yohio in 2013 should have won but the jury screwed him over, he was by far the most popular by the people but the jury hated him
Yohio was a bloke, but his style was heavily based on manga and Japanese culture and influences, and actually won the televote in the final over Robin
No way!!!!!! You've just blown my mind!
Love the Androgynous vibe!
If I don't remember wrong Yohio got 21% and Robin 14% of the televotes 🤔
thats cool
Imo the list should’ve been:
2010: Salem Al Fakir - Keep on Walking
2011: Danny Saucedo - In the Club
2012: Molly Sandén - Why am I Crying
2013: Yohio - Heartbreak hotel
2014: Ace Wilder - Busy doin nothin
2015: Mariette - Don’t stop Believing
2016: Oscar Zia - Human
2017: Wiktoria - As I Lay Me Down
2018: Felix Sandman - Every single day
2019: Hanna & Liamoo - Hold You / Wiktoria - Not With Me
2020: Dotter - Bulletproof / Anna Bergendahl - Kingdom Come
Anyways great content keep up the great work❤️
ESC Sebbe this was a much better list
YESS
I AGREE!
I agree, this list is better. Salem Al Fakir is one of my all time favourites
This was indeed a better list with more real runner ups.
Still gutted Yohio didn't win, he is amzing.
what do you mean
@@lucaswallo8127 I meant I was gutted Yohio didn't win Melodifestivalen 2013
My thoughts exactly, he is amazing.
2010 the fan favourite was Salem Al Fakir- Keep on walking
2011 Danny Saucedo- In the club
also, Panetoz has competed twice, enjoy
Why does it say alcazar from 2014 when it actually is their entry from 2009
OH NOOOOO I must have had a playlist glitch!! PANTS! Thank you for letting me know
Glad you caught I saw the stay the night and thought " wait that can´t be from 2014 " !
@@Lukeovision who on earth are the fans that made these fan favourites? :S I mean 2012, I'm pretty sure Loreen was the fan favourite...
@@Lukeovision You should maybe react to the whole performance of all these songs that you think were better then the winning song. And i think you should react to Amazing aswell since i think that it still wouldve given Sweden the win if it won over Euphoria in melodifestivalen 2012 :)
Alcazars entry from 2014 was Blame it on the disco and it was EVERYTHING!!!!
Wiktoria was basically worthy of winning all three years she participated
Well, I think some years were not fan-favorites at all. I personally think these would have been more accurate:
2014: Ace Wilder
2016: Wiktoria/Molly/Lisa
2017: Mariette
2019: Hanna Ferm and Liamoo
2020: Dotter
Aaaaah Ok! Thank you for this Miguel! I will have to check them out!
I really wonder how Panetoz was considered a fanfave when you hade Molly, Oscar, Ace, Wiktoria and Robin in the same line up haha
Acazar sang Blame It On The Disco in 2014.... Stay The Night was in 2009 I think...
Oh Poop!!!!
Some of those songs were really good. Love your reviews. Keep them coming
Awwh thank you Andrew! I felt a bit spoiled for choice!
2018: John Lundvik "My Turn"
2020: Dotter "Bulletproof" (Lost by a single point from televotes to the Mama's)
This is such a good video concept!!! Can we get a Norway version, and maybe an Iceland version?
What a great idea Jude!
Thank you!!
Why is there Panetoz in 2016, Bishara in 2019 and Anis in 2020? 🤨 There were so many better songs than those ones... Just to mention Anna Bergendahl, Dotter, Hanna Ferm & Liamoo, Oscar Zia, Felix Sandman, Mariette and many others.
The only Swedish entries I like in this decade are The Mamas, Sanna Nielsen, Loreen, Anna Bergendahl and John Lundvik.
Sweden produce SOOOO many good ones, I can't keep up!
Echoing what other comments have said, I think some of the choices of fan favorites were quite questionable. I would have straight up switched them with the actual runner-ups those years, namely:
2010: "Keep on walking" - Salem Al Fakir
2014: "Busy doing nothing" - Ace Wilder
2016: "Human" - Oscar Zia
2017: "Hold on" - Nano
2018: "Every single day" - Felix Sandman
Also, you should totally check out Panetoz other Melodifestivalen entry, if you haven't yet! It's from 2014, called "Efter Solsken".
My favorites from melodifestivalen each year
2010- Darin: she's out of my life
2011- Eric Saade: popular
2012- loreen-euphoria
2013- Yohio- Heartbreak hotel/Robin Stjernberg- you(loved those two equaly))(sounded like you called Yohio a her/she in the video/he is a guy, Just so you know, swedish/japanese ;-) )
2014- Sanne Nielsen- Unddo
2015- Mons Selmerlöw-Heroes
2016- Oscar Zia-Human/Robin Bengtson- Constelation Prize(loved those two equaly)
2017- Mariette- A million years
2018- Felix Sandman- every single day
2019- John Lundvik- Too late for love.
2020- The Mamas- Move
You have a nice gold mine with Panetoz. They had a smash hit in Sweden with "Efter solsken" at melodifestivalen 2014! Also "Dansa, pausa" pure joy! Bishara was a famous influencer I think either on TicToc or Instagram (I forget which). Jon Henrik Fjällgren had a really popular emotional song during "Talang" competition, Daniel's joik. That song is perhaps the most popular joik in Sweden of all time and it conveys emotion without words like nothing I have ever heard.
For me kingdom come by Anna is the best it should of went to eurovison this year instead of the mamas
Also statements by the queen loreen was robbed.
I also doing winner v favourite
2010: winner
2011: winner
2012: winner
2013: favourite
2014: winner
2015: favourite ( I despise heroes)
2016: favourite ( hated if I was sorry)
2017: favourite
2018: favourite anything would of been better to what they sent
2019: winner just because of the mamas
2020: I preferred the winner over Anis but I wanted Anna to win
Really agree with everything you said and Anna Bergendahl is the queen! 😍
Love you❤️
Not sure if you look at new comments on older videos but I just wanted to make a suggestion for a reaction :p (Hi from Finland btw🇫🇮)
It’s a Melodifestivalen medley from 2016, which contains many great songs from different years of the show :D
The video is called “Medley i finalen av Melodifestivalen 2016”
Just thought it’d be cool to see what you think of the songs :p
Edit: Glad you read my comment! :D I feel like I should make it clear that the medley isn’t just a video of some songs that a fan or someone has put together, it’s literally a live medley AT Melodifestivalen 2016 :p
Fun fact about Panetoz: there was talks about Panentoz performing in the Eurovision grand final, which sadly never happened. The 2016 one.
Luke, Alcazars song you saw was in the 2009 Grand final. Took 5th place and became a big hit.
Yay! :)
Yohio has a big fan-base in Japan.
Oh really? Someone said they were based on anime and stuff!
@@Lukeovision He worked in Japan for years, maybe he is back there again
❤️
My Noosh Baboosh
I can really recommend listening to more of Wiktorias music, she performed with the song “save me” a few years earlier which has more of a country-pop sound, her first five or so singles are really worth listening to!
My unpopular opinion: Dotter with Bulletproof should have won in 2020. That was an absolute banger and I am still listening to it in 2022
Heartbreak Hotel was good but i wish Yohio would had picked ’Sky Limit’ instead ... it would have been different to say the least
My FAvourits:
2010 - Winner Anna Bergendahl
2011 - Loreen: My heart is refusing me (I prefered this over Euphoria, don't hate me)
czcams.com/video/UjrVoonz4WE/video.html
2012 - Danny Saucedo: Amazing
2013 - Yohio: Heartbreak hotel
2014 - a heartbreaking year: The winner Sanna Nielsen: Undo is one of my alltime favourites
---- But I LOVE: Ace Wilder: Busy doin' nothing
czcams.com/video/680R1Gq2YYU/video.html
2015: Måns: Heroes
2016: Wictoria: Save me !!!! czcams.com/video/IopJwGH3z2U/video.html
2017: Jon Henrik: En värld full av strider: czcams.com/video/0WWjx54GePE/video.html
Because We should have sent Sami jojking. But Actually I also loved
Boris René: Her Kiss czcams.com/video/8MoS7XjxDkI/video.html
2018: Winner: Benjamin Ingrosso
2019: ... The Mamas (Of course I loved Bishara, he is a born talent, but I prayed he would not have to go to ESC, since he was too young, just 16 and hadn't been singing for more than '6 months' when he was discovered on CZcams....)
2020: Anna Bergendahl
Ooooh! Thank you for sharing!! Loved reading through this!
💯
I really liked Wictoria's song "As I lay me down" but the ending.. It stopped without any sort of outro. The audience just kept on clapping for a few beats before they realized it was actually over.
2010 - salem al fakir or timoteij. So damn hard
2011 - Danny Saucedo
2012 - ulrik munther
2013 - yohio (crying so damn hard to this day)
2014 - Ellen Benediktson
2015 - Jon Henrik Fjällgren
2016 - Wiktoria
2017 - Wiktoria again
2018 - Felix Sandman
2019 - Anna Bergendahl
2020 - Dotter
2021 - Clara Klingenström
Ok so you really have to watch Salem Al Fakir - Keep on Walking (2010), Ace Wilder - Busy doin Nothing (2014) and Oscar Zia - Human (2016). They were runner-ups with very small margins and plenty of fans still today think that they would have been the rightful winners.
Hey Legend! Almost at 6k subs, aren't we? Btw idk what is my favorite melodifestivalen winner. They are all so good!!!! How is it in lockdown? Are you OK? I hope your family is doing good. Kisses from your croatian Sis❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Ps I LOVE YOUR JACKET💖💞
Hi Sis!!
I'm OK thank you, how are you doing?
Sweden always deliver don't they?!
Are you guys all good?
Aww thanks sis! Not just yet! Nearly 5.1! ;)
@@Lukeovision We are all good, thanks! Sweden does it! I just want this pandemic to pass! I dont want it here!
2010: Manboy
2011: Oh My God (Think I’m just tired of Popular)
2012: Euphoria
2013: Heartbreak Hotel
2014: Stay the night
2015: Jag är fri
2016: Håll Om mig hårt
2017: I can’t go on
2018: Dance you off
2019: Too late for love
2020: Move
I think I’m just tired of the winners at this point lol.
"on my own", 2020, for me, the best of all. This would have been a smash! And, Luke, "dance you off" is for me one of the best pop dance entries
Yaaaaay! Someone who thinks similarly to me!
My list was:
2010: Eric Saade - Manboy (Eric was 19 when he sang that song, so he was a manboy. So a boy, but also a man.)
2011: Eric Saade - Popular
2012: Loreen - Euphoria
2013: David Lindgren - Skyline
2014: Here I had two favourites. Linus Svenning - Bröder and Ace Wilder - Busy Doin´ Nothing
2015: Måns Zelmerlöv - Hero
2016: Oscar Zia - Human
2017: Mariette - A Million Years
2018: Felix Sandman - Every Single Day
2019: Wiktoria - Not With Me
2020: Dotter - Bulletproof
Taste 🔥👌
My Melfest winners 2009-2020:
2009- Mans Zelmerlow (although this wasn't in the video)
2010- Anna Bergendahl (how did she not qualified to the finals at Eurovision?!)
2011- Eric Saade
2012- Loreen
2013- Yohio
2014- Sanna Nielsen
2015- Mans Zelmerlow
2016- Molly Sanden and Oscar Zia (Honorable mention: Dolly Style)
2017- Wiktoria (Honorable mention: Loreen (robbed, how did she not qualified to the finals?!))
2018- Felix Sandman and Margaret
2019- Lisa Ajax,Liamoo & Hanna Ferm,Anna Bergendahl (Honorable mentions: Margaret,Lina Hedlund,Rebecca Karlson,and Mohombi)
2020- Dotter and Anna Bergendahl (Honorable mention: Malou Prytz,Anis Don Demina, and Felix Sandman (this year is tough and strong))
Stay the night is from 2010 not 2014. Alcazar was competing with Blame it on the disco in 2014.
I LOVE THE MAMAS
my melfest winners 2010 - 2020
2010: Timoteij (Kom) (Manboy was my fave that year but it would mean we wouldn't have got popular)
2011: Eric Saade
2012: Loreen
2013: Yohio (but i do love 'you')
2014: Sanna (but also great songs from ace wilder, alcazar and helena paparizou that year)
2015: Mans
2016: Oscar Zia (robin begtsson's song that year was my favourite but it would been another eric saade situation ifyou get what i mean)
2017: Robin Bengtsson
2018: Benjamin Ingrosso (tho i love 'every single day' by felix sandman)
2019: John Lundvik (tho i love 'hello')
2020: Dotter
Here's one for you Kevin.... Man boy... or Popular!?
@@Lukeovision i have been trying to work that out for like a year and a half now but i suppose i would just give the edge to manboy which is saying a lot seeing popular is in my top 10 eurovision songs of all time. when i found manboy it was weird cause it before the period where i looked back at previous this melfests to see if there was songs i liked from them, i just saw somewhere that eric saade had been in melfest the year before he won so i looked it up and instantly fell in love with it which isn't super common with me
Timoteij was a total bop, I have both of their albums on my phone and they are amazing even though I don't know a word of Swedish LOL
Wrong säng at that year, they planer bland it on the dusco
My winners
2010 Anna Bergendahl
2011 Eric Saade
2012 Loreen
2013 Robin
2014 Sanna
2015 Måns
2016 Isa
2017 Wiktoria
2018 Dotter
2019 Hanna & Liamoo or Wiktoria
2020 Anna Bergendahl or Dotter
Loreeeeeeen!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️
can you do the same with Iceland..
(I'm Icelandic if you need help lol)
My favourite country in Eurovision with Estonia and Albania is Iceland. Except for a few latest songs that I don't particularly like the older ones you've sent are amazing. Never Forget, Hear them calling, Paper, Ég à líf and Is it true are masterpieces.
2016 was a very strong melodifestivalen I still can't see how Franz won
The spelling is off on some of these... Saade - I actually think Manboy is better than Popular. The Moniker was quirky and fun, would've loved if we sent that. Yohio should have won. Everyone knows the year after you win is when you can and should send something risky and quirky. Danny... Well, no. Alcazar > Sanna Nielsen, 100 % Also would have been so much more fun to send Ace Wilder. But, yeah, let's pick the boring safe one... Still prefer Jon Henrik, even though Måns won. Panetoz - check out Efter solsken, that was even better. Wiktoria - just love, she should have won
And alcazar was in that year true but it was wrong song
No no no
. The crowd winner was clara klingenström
I’m probably the only one in the world who liked Frans
Panetoz were nowhere close to fan favourites?
LUKE, Frans only won becaquse of all the teengirl votes, etc. That sort of thing.
You're kidding? Outrage! :P
5:05 ”... the pink in her hair...”
Hate to break it to you but *He’s a guy, Not a girl*
You seriously can't think you've broken this news to me? You must be the 29th person. But thank you anyway.
@@Lukeovision Sorry! I didn’t read the other comments before posting it! I probably should have done it but i didn’t ...
Alcazar stay the night is from 2009 and not 2014 wtf
Yeah I know - this video is 2 years old now, the clips were created by a viewer and they’ve since apologised
@@Lukeovision you should take a look at Oscar zia human from 2016 that song could have been a possible winner
Nobody still knows what a Man Boy is 😂
Anis and bishara were not favourites to win at all lmao. Your friend should have picked Dotter or Anna for 2020 and Hanna Ferm & Liamoo for 2019 they were actually contenders lol
They weren't? My God if they weren't then Sweden just bash these iconic tracks out!
@@Lukeovision bishara did end up coming 2nd but it wasn't expected and he wasn't a big favourite. Anis placed 5th. Sometimes i wonder if melfest is stronger than esc!
Yohio - Heartbreak hotel 2013. Yohio is a guy not a girl.
Yes, I have been corrected already - but thank you
2010 - Manboy (I'm happy he did not win tho... otherwise no popular )
2011 - POPULAR!! I know the lyrics by heart. I'm still pissed that this did not win the hole thing... like Azerbaijan was TRASH!! AND ITALY.. UGH
2012 - Loreen
2013 - Robin (also fun fact of the day... Robin and Eric Saade were once in a boyband together.. lol)
2014 - Sanna... no question
2015 - Mans.. (my personal favourite of this year was groupie by Samir and Victor.. what a bop)
2016 - WHAT HOW IS THE FAN FAVOURITE NOT HUMAN BY OSCAR ZIA!!!! I'M OUTRAGED!!! THAT SONG WAS FUCKING ROBBED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2017 - Robin
2018 - nether TBH.... my fav was again Samir and Victor with Shuffla... what a bop! strait on a playlist that.
2019 - I thought it was a fair winner... but the true winner was Eric Saade and Sarah Dawn singing the Israel medley! (Toy, Diva)
2020 - did not like any of the songs in this years final...
I love this comment!
You didn't like any this year?! wow! If you HAD to pick, who would you go for?
@@Lukeovision Dotter - Bulletproof was the one that I liked the most. But not like OMG I need this on a playlist NOW kinda vibe.
But tbh this was probably the weakest melfest final in years. (Song wise! The show itself was flawless as usual.)
Yohio is the name if the group and the lead singer is a he not a she 😂🤣😂
Yohio is the singer’s name not the group as a whole. The drummer is a former band mate of Yohio while the guitarists are two friends who had their own band for a while before that group split
Umm yohio is a guy
Oops, my bad!
tfw no Salem Al Fakir
You know that yohio is a guy
Yes you’re not the first to comment that Jaevla. Same with the Alcazar song.
Thanks anyway 👍🏼
Yohio is a boy😬
Not realy. Sorry
Yohio is not a girl, he is a dude
Drink less soy
