Looks like the Warner Bros did a great job in bringing Atlantis to life
trex advent James wan not Warner bros
Tyrell Suraiya they aren’t they decided to let the directors handle it after the failure justice league because they didn’t use the Snyder cut as the theater cut
Much more better that the Atlantis segment on Justice League by Zack Snyder that was collorless, lifeless and dull.
@@DivvayKhatri Anyway ALL the underwater scenes made buy James Wan are collorfull and aesthetically vibrant not only the Alantis one, on the other side Zack Snyder´s one is visually murky, dull and lifeless.
Warner Bros. just fund the movies. You have to give credit to James Wan and the crew for making a visually stunning film!
The visuals are insane
The best thing in the movie

This is the magic of James wan
As all things should be
This version of the score is better than the one on the available soundtrack. I wonder why they are different.
ElAsadoRico I agree.
This movie is amazing. The fact that it didn't get nominated for best visual effects is such bullshit.

Its not a coincidence that the only two big budget movies he ever made, both made over a billion dollars.

Its not easy to be an Atlantean. You have many missions to do. They are gonna train you to fight.
I don’t need to be no high born I just want to be Atlantian
Everyone fighting over Talokan vs Atlantis, but here I'm just happy both the movie universes managed to make two completely different underwater civilizations with very different origins look so amazing.
Atlantis with it's futuristic, advanced charm, and Talokan with it's rustic, realistic charm.
I can't wait to see what they do with them in the future.
The comparisons are inevitable. What i appreciate more about BP2 is the use of practical lighting and real underwater footage.
Just as an additional note. The Talokan scene was used as a separate character that was telling a story.
bro said realistic in a universe where people breathe under water 💀
Atlantis was a futuristic society before it sunk. Talocan is tribal and they have no means of tech like wakanda.
@nice fly.
Talokan just looks better.
Talokan looks better
The music + the visuals are so damn good!
Ximien Lum that music, its beautiful
One of the best comic book character world introduction in my opinion, if not the best so far. James Wan doing great stuff.
Yes you right.James Wan knows what he is doing , and what Aquaman should look like.
I think both takes from DC and Marvel are unique in their approach.
DC decided to make Atlantis stand out with gorgeous visuals and the impressive technology, that makes Atlantis a fantasy land under water from a fairy tale.
But Marvel decided to emphasize Talokan on its people. And the choice of music really stands out, as a simple and humble place where people live peacefully and enjoy life, without wanting to stand out much.
So visually, Atlantis wins, but with Talokan takes the cake with how heartwarming and pure it feels.
Edit: I try giving both takes a positive perspective. And yet people still wanna argue that one is better and the other is bad. Man, the internet is…quite a place.
Nah atlantis takes the cake because it looks more than some dark ruins with people swimming around, it looks like an advanced/powerful civilisation. The music in the talocan scene is 100x better though
Atlantis ia worth watching
That's why I say that both Atlantis and Talokan are beautiful and unique in their own ways.

At the end, both of Aquaman's parents are alive, he's king of Atlantis, and unlike Krypton or MCU Asgard (the planet, not the village), his homeland/planet isn't destroyed. Arthur has NO IDEA how lucky that makes him. Like Thor at the start of his first movie.
And plus his half brother I guess now is redeem a little which makes it better now that he can better his relationship with him knowing that they both love their mother

This absolutely blows Black Panther AND Black Panther 2 out of the water.
I was looking forward to seeing how they'd do Atlantis/Telokan in Wakanda Forever.
But all that ancient Aztec inspiration counted for nothing cause you couldn't see anything. It was just a dank dark mess.
But Aquaman's visuals are just....so absolutely stunning. James Wan knows how to frame his big shots that's for sure.
Agree with you! A lil bit dissapointed that they done Talokan ain't near Atlantis we got in Aquaman. However, probably that's the concept they planned for Talokan people. Atlanteans are living in modern and futuristic era, meanwhile Talokans still stick to the past, while also having advanced technology. Both having different culture and live style.
Dank darkness mess lol. That's what the directors wanted Telokan to look like. That's how an underwater world would look like . These flashy lights of Atlantis might seem fascinating to kids but obviously don't go at par with the logic. Obviously there is a difference between Atlantis and Telokan. Atlantis seem to be having its own power source to light up the city but Telokan is dependent on dispersed sun light.
@@lord_draculs So "logic" is that people can breathe underwater and have wings on their ankles?? please, they've overworked the CGI team so they went with the "logic" excuse. Either that or just lazy to be creative.

@@elijahbutcher9522 Aquaman didn't get the nomination, that's fine but black panther had an absolute shit vfx, I mean academy should have some shame, just because they are black doesn't mean that they would nominate it for anything
This is one of the most aesthetically pleasing scenes that I ever watched in film. Both the visuals and soundtrack match each other very well and give you that exact certain vibe that you want to feel when entering Atlantis. Especially that beautiful synthy music that is very similar to sci-fi movies such as Blade Runner, Tron, or even the Mass Effect games.
The reason why atlantis looks so much brighter compared to talokan can be attributed to two factors:
1. Atlanteans have had thousands of years underwater to build their empire. They literally use fishes as floodlights and have cannons that convert water into plasma beams that could cut through anything. Obviously having a few brighter lights would be no work for them. Talokan is old, sure, but they are isolatonists who kept to themselves and are much more comfortable living in a traditional way with nature, similar to the amazons or even the jabari tribe from Wakanda. Even then they still have underwater weapons and a vibranium core for light.
2. In the movie, when young arthur is taking his first swimming lesson, it is dark underwater. Vulko asks him later to use his enhanced atlantean vision and then arthur is able to see the beauty of the ocean life. We could be seeing atlantis through arthur's perspective and why it is so full of light and beauty.
If you ask me, I say that both are beautiful and unique each in their own ways. Atlantis with it's advanced, underwater technology; and Talokan with it's approach of being connected more t nature, which Atlantis also does a little bit too.
Talokanils built an artificial sunlight.
They are far more technologically advanced
What an eyegasm.
This scene is simply a masterpiece.
This visuals are way more better than avengers...
Talokan in Wakanda Forever was more like a village while Atlantis in this actually looks like a KINGDOM

I love how they not only show you the beauty of the ocean but the sadness we cost to it. The waste we dump, and the plastic killing all living creatures underwater. We gotta do something about it otherwise the next life comes after us, we'll the dinosaurs and they'll be us expect our plastic will remain and that alone will tell them how evil we all are and to be better
feel same what can we do?
We are not evil as in evil with intent to harm. We're just selfish and ignorant of how are actions affect the world around us beyond are small little bubbles. Also the damage to the oceans might irreversibly since many marine species have already gone extinct. We can however try to preserve what is left and try nurse the ecosystems (over centuries) back to health. It's like trying to loose weight, it takes time and effort, and after that you change your lifestyle so as not to revert. That kind of change is hard **** for Humanity. Have some compassion for your own species.
