The New North documentary series began as a small proof of concept project to show the world what Long Takes is capable of. Thanks to the overwhelming support of viewers like you we made the decision to produce an episode for each game our crew of 4 covered during the 2022 North Side football season. Each episode of the series is being edited in real time in 2 week increments which is incredibly straining on the team as we each hold full time careers outside of Long Takes. However, we believe with the continued support of our growing subscriber base we can one day make Long Takes our full time gig and provide sports fans around the globe with a raw and authentic look at the lives of athletes from all walks of life. The North I-N-D!
Feeling this! Ironic how many parallels there are with this team and ours. We share the same name "NORTH" and the same uniform colors and we are starting to create a buzz. We are currently at the bottom and trying to change everything. We were once the team everyone hated to play because we were bruisers. It didn't matter if we had winning seasons, we always competed and beat up every team we played. That was 20 years ago. The last 2 decades our sports programs have declined to the bottom.
My family moved back to this area a couple years ago and we are rebuilding. We are trying to make a difference. My oldest is now playing for the school I went to. I don't know if things will improve significantly by the time he's a senior, but he knows we are building this program for his little brothers. Team's try recruiting him all the time because he's a good athlete and they know we film all of the games and put them on CZcams. It's tempting to be a part of a winning team, but we know why we are here.

I felt that win too I coached youth baseball for 20 years and my teams were always the underdog since players weren't handpicked ahead of time like so many other stack teams
When we win the championship which did happen often I was part of that celebration baby
This brought back those great memories capturing that celebratory moment perfectly

this is so dope man, im not from indiana but ive been in indianapolis for almost a year and a half and i havent been sure if indiana was really in to football on a grassroots level. what i mean is that im from Louisiana, im an LSU alum and ive spent many years in various big cities and around different big time high schools like john curtis, southlake and etc. its a huge thing down there on an everday basis and its ingrained into the culture but lousiana produces a lot of freak athletes and cerebral, still gifted athletes and you can tell by looking to the NFL and seeing how many LSU dudes from Louisiana, texas, or florida there are peppering the league.

also thing is Louisiana is a huge baseball state and LSU has one of the all time greatest programs that i believe is tied for 2nd place as far as our multiple world series wins and even more appearances.
i dont think at this point Indiana is huge on baseball but i can definitely see the heart of football that helps a lot of underprivileged young men both black and white rise up out of struggle and poverty and find role models and become that themselves.
yall are big on basketball though and i got pacers tickets and waiting for next years march madness.

I cannot believe what I just saw. Today’s kids are “given” the entitlement they live with. When I was a kid…playing ball…”any kid” tell a coach “leave me alone” even one time woulda been his last time. After the game his uniform would have been gathered up and his “entitled” azz would have been sent packing…and he would not be allowed back on the team. Unbelievable how today’s kids think they are entitled to talk to their coach any way they want.

The mascot was changed around 2016. North Side is the Legends now, and the mascot is a phoenix (a bird). The new mascot was selected by students.
There’s no discipline amongst the players or coaches. Nobody listens and everyone wants to be right. It’s too much talking when someone is trying to speak.
Cliche. Camera is on so be as cliche as possible by dramatic speeches and crying while being consoled by another person aware of the camera.
