      Freya, naw it would be possible, set up in a smart way and colored in an order that lets the colors dry before another color is placed next to it. The blending only really happens if you are relatively quick about it, and it doesn't run unless you put too much down. They are still markers not water paints.

      @mikiz1899 Před 5 lety +40

      *The factors I know of that go into this:*
      Education of some sort on the elements of art and principles of design (learning about these and variations you can make/see will help you to use them), how trained hand muscles are and your eye-hand co-ordination, and how comprehensive your visual library is (images/pictures you remember, you draw upon these when creating art from your imagination. This includes art styles you've seen others use!) are a few that I know of that have a big impact on my artwork.
      *It helps to study* (either making observations, or drawing said observations) objects from real life/pictures (or in other words, to *use a reference when trying to draw something* ). It aids you in creating details that you didn't really look for and consciously note before.
      *Tip for drawing from a reference:* you might use a grid in front of it, and fill in individual squares on your paper. This trains you to draw what you see, since your focus is zoomed in on the lines and values in one spot, (for example) instead of what you imagine your subject looks like overall. (Drawing what you imagine you see can be an issue if your visual library is lacking in, for instance, anatomy or detail information.)
      Whew! That's a lot of writing. 😂 Please know that *I am far from an expert* though on how people make amazing art, so *please do seek more information from other sources.* You might start by searching, "How to improve art skills". :)
      P.S. *What makes you get discouraged about your art and something you can do to counter it...*
      -comparing your work to other people's instead of learning from their work
      -expecting yourself to do better than you are able to (yet) instead of drawing in the moment + giving yourself praise for the progress/effort you have made, no matter how small. (I've heard people recommend keeping an art journal so they can see their progress all in one place. "Sketchbook tips for creative freedom and a cohesive look" is a great video to watch).
      -Letting mistakes or fear of making mistakes kill your passion instead of asking yourself (or the internet) how you can fix them, how you can incorporate them into the work, or just allowing yourself to make rough drafts instead of finals all the time.
      *Everyone has to start somewhere.*
      I hope that you enjoy and feel enriched by your art journey, if you decide you want it to be a part of your life :)

It just takes a strong understanding of your medium (which Jazza at least appears to do quite fast, but he probably takes more time off-camera to get a feel for the supplies). Of course, I highly recommend at least having student grade supplies if you can afford it, but with a strong understanding of your medium, you can create high quality work with low quality supplies.

When I got to my mom (they're divorced) I inmedially used them to draw...half of the markers where already dried out, they all made the crappy lines, they killed my paper and I never used them again. However some of them had colors I needed but didn't have as any other marker so I had to keep them for their color. Telling the story of the cheap markers makes me sad ;-;
