I like how in the same season, they touch on a range of mental health issues--Nathan discovering he's bipolar and seeking treatment, Molly getting back into therapy to help deal with her issues, Tiffany possibly dealing with undiagnosed postpartum depression, and Lawrence realizing he may have had a bout with depression that affected his career and relationship. It's great to show these issues are common and there is help.

I hope they continue to dive into it more beyond the surface level. We still have no idea if there is something deeper contributing to Molly's issues and I feel like we haven't seen Tiffany in a loooooooong time for them to explore that storyline.
Very true. I hope next season there is an episode with Tiffany and Derek trying to find help for her postpartum depression. That would be good.
It also shows that if you're not doing the work outside of therapy and applying the lessons you've learned during therapy within your life then you're wasting your time and money.
Kendrick Sampson is out here protesting, getting shot by rubber bullets for us, defunding the police then the next night can make all of us swoon and drool over him on this show. This is bae 😂😍

I’m loving the real look at relationships this season. Wish they would develop Kelly and Tiffany’s characters more. It’s obvious that Tiffany could be dealing with some postpartum depression and Kelly has got to be more than just comic relief.
That's the one thing that's missing out of this season Kelly's humor...I even miss Tiffany. This is a great season
The actress that plays Kelly is also a writer, so that could impact how much screentime she gets. I don't know if that's why, but that has happened on other shows when actors are also writers on the show.

I agree Nathan explaining his mental health was done in a good way. It wasnt like a bomb blowing up. It was effectively done. I think I may have a misconception about relationships and mental health. That scene opened my eyes a bit in a healthy way.
I was really happy with that reveal as well. Usually bipolar is presented as "crazy" and super emotional all the time. But it's a spectrum like any other, it's not the same for every person

I love this discussion regarding mental illness. I was diagnosed with Bipolar I "15" years into my marriage and my husband still stands by my side. Once you find out your diagnosis, it's easier to work through the symptoms. We are stronger than ever. 💛

The one criticism that I have for the "Wine Downs" is that they never drink hardly any of their drinks. It's like they are just props to be discarded after taping, and that's alcohol abuse were I come from. It's literally "Wine" down and every week they are sober.

Exactly, Lawrence is only good in a relationship when things are going good for him. Nathan has addressed his issue so now Issa knows. I think Nathan is a better fit for her.

I jus stumbled on to this show and I'm hooked. I appreciate how the issue of dealing with bipolar was handled. Taking care of your mental health is important and the fact that sometimes you need medication to remain stable was normalized. Also showing the fact that having bipolar is an issue that can be maintained and that you are still deserving of love. Also even though I was torn I was rooting for Nathan because being diagnosed with a mental health issue doesn't mean your life is over but it can be very rewarding as long as you do what is necessary to treat your mental health whether its therapy, medicine or both. Having family members with dealing with this I appreciate how it was viewed as normal routine to put your health first. Plus Nathan did a phenomenal job with his performance because most men don't take care of themselves let alone their mental health.

@FLOWER I was full team Molly until this episode. They set her up for a big moment and then everything fell flat. I think it would have been nice to see Molly either stand up for her friendship with Issa or definitively cut her off. Her being more upset, but then not coming up with solutions is actually so annoying.

I dont think people struggle with MH issues should intentionally enter into relationships with people who aren't. Its more of a struggle more than it works for both parties involved. Its better to find someone dealing with similar issues. They will understand more...even when things are difficult to communicate
I would have to disagree with you. Some MH issues have no cure, you get help and learn how to cop with it. I know people with mental illnesses but you will never know until they tell you, because why, everybody is different. What you are saying is like a blind person should only date another blind. As long as people are up front with their partners, are getting the necessary help and aren’t ashamed, I don’t see the problem. But at the same time, depending on the situation, I recognize that it can be difficult
