      That's awesome! Can I ask how did you come to know that? Is that spoken of often in your families along with some stories, or just a fact passed down generations?

    • @ComXDude
      @ComXDude Před rokem

      @@Dares9 To be fair, most Comanches are descended from Quanah Parker (myself included).
      Mini-lecture warning, but the average person (as in, not a recent immigrant) only needs to go back a maximum of 5 generations to find a common ancestor with the overwhelming majority of other people of their nation (barring those with exceedingly low population densities, or extremely atypical immigration/emigration rates). It's a simple matter of exponential growth. Assuming each couple in each generation only has one child, that alone doubles the reach each generation, and when you factor in siblings, cousins, and extended families, it grows at hard-to-calculate rates (mainly due to the potential for extreme variance, along with the trend for families to grow larger as you go further back in time).
      Now, with that tangent over, I'm going to continue butchering this beautiful language to make a mediocre con-lang for my D&D world.

      Still, All of Mexico does still belong to north America! this means south of Mexico, where mayan lenguages show up are still north America.

      @@ErickTosar Eric, not trying to argue with you but a true story comes about during the years right after WW II. A Comanche in the Navy was in Port in Argentina. He was being a tourist in the port city, at the one of the booths he heard the Indians Numuhnu-tekwa. So, he replied in Numuhnuh. They invited him to have a meal and he went with them. All the conversations they had was in Numuhnuh! So, the story came from a veteran, respected traditional leader upon return from the war, and I believe to be true. Not everything on maps written by the non-Native can be believed. I've spoken.
