- Windsor Fire Crews where on scene of a Church fire in the 800 block of Windermere. 2nd Alarm was struck and fire attack was underway. heavy smoke and fire conditions when E-20 arrived. From the pastor reports everyone exited the church safely. Power was out in the area due to the fire

I've been to a lot of fires as a reporter and seen a lot of fire videos and I'd say there was a water supply problem.
Why? The fire destroyed the church already inside.In that case:what does it help to thow many more water on the fire?? Nothing,i guess.So,let it controlled burn.That's the best in this case.the fire is even faster out.on this way.
@@hermanvankampen6047 actually you're wrong there's lots of reason to keep putting water on this fire #1 is to protect other nearby structures by extinguishing main fire scene eliminates possible other structure fires

Herman van Kampen no a controlled burn is to let an unwanted building burn. Aka a prescribed burn. It is considered insurance fraud to do a controlled burn on an insured property. A fire department must attempt to extinguish a fire. To not do so, the insurance company can take the FD to court for a certain percentage of the total damages. If they can prove the damages should have stopped at 60% but the FD let it go to 100% the FD could be on the hook for 40% of the total damages.
WHY was the water cut off for so long of time and let it burn up then the ladders put water on again but too late???

O.L. .... What station is Windsor's E-20 out of ? And now that you got a closer look at the new ESU, what's your opinion ? Also, tragically, Capt.Tim Papineau, Station 1 Windsor Fire, took his own life last week. Please pray.

I was thinking the same thing, I'm almost 100% sure there were no one fighting the fire inside. Sooo why not open up the master streams??? Water pressure maybe a issue?
I was seeing a comment on hydrant issues? This is a paid department and it is in a town/city limits and the city is required to supply water and even if they have hydrant issues I'm sure there are rural volunteer departments that could offer a tanker and dump tank operation this is why a paid department should train with a volunteer department for such a situation?
A tanker or two on a fire like this wouldn't have kept up with the demand. 6,000gal of water supplying a tower truck , 4-6 min. of water if that. Also, it takes time to find a water source and set up for a tanker shuttle. Nothing was going to stop this fire.
Don't like being an arm chair... but in an after action manner, if it was a hydrant/ water issue, put your best pumper close to hydrant and send it to another pump. All this takes a lot of time & resources.

Not much any one could do to save the building you sure can’t put firefighters in the building. An open roof like that is very hard to attack you just can’t get it water on the fire the best you can do is try to keep it down as much as possible .

Let the whole church burn. Time for a new one. The insurance will pay for it. Nobody hurt, no equipment damaged, no water wasted, and, we wanted a new building anyway.

L CHAPUT wow it must be nice to be perfect and such a wonderful fire fighter but the video started after the first crew was already inside and what you see is the backup and the next crew to go in . Yes Europe and England have wonderful fire fighters but you are just ignorant on what they all do but nice talking to you
