    Video Poster Update.
    This is an UPDATE to question.
    I will add another video soon of Rear sunroof Drains. But read comment below.
    Sorry i forgot to mention this in the video.
    You also have 2 Rear drains as well. Backside of the sunroof. They run down you rear " Oh Shyt Handles " to the rear of the car. I did this video because only my front one's were clogged. So to get to the Rear drains you must take down the rear " Oh Shyt handles " and slightly pull fown the headliner you will see the tubes. Just make sure you are not yanking the headline because you can damage it. Do the same steps as the front drain tubes and you are golden.
    I will add a video up soon of me doing the rear drain tubes.
    As another person commented. They have a " Gurgling sound " when turning on the AC or defrotsters. That would be your AC drain line. The AC drain line is UNDER the floor carpet. You must DISCONNECT BATTERY 1ST. Then You must take out your seats Front seats only Driver and Passenger side Seat wiring Harnesses then the carpet to expose the small drain tube for the AC drain line. It has 2 White connectors with a small black hose.
    Also remember. DO NOT turn the car on with your seats out and unhooked because some Models have Airbags in the seats and you will have a forever airbag light on if you do. If you need to leave the carpet out to dry the carpet you can just rehook the seats back up and drive with NO carpet. But be sure to Disconnect your batter before taking the seats out and only connect the battery once your seats and a seats wiring harness is Reconnected. Your carpet will be fine to be out the car for a few days until it fully dries out and you fix the issue with the AC drain. Remember your floor well can hold over 2 gallons of water in each side of the floor.
    So even if it is Just the sunroof drains and you want to take the carpet out to get all the water out you can as well. Just remember DISCONNECT BATTERY 1ST... then Disconnect Seat wiring harnesses on Front driver and passenger Frontside. Then take carpet out. For a few days to dry. Use shopVac to get any standing water out.
    Hope this helps....

      I’m thinking of buying a S40 with a leak on the passenger side. I have an 04 Cadillac Escalade that had the same problem but the water came down the same area as yours and drains into the cowl under the windshield wipers. There was an access to the inside of the dashboard that was not sealed anymore due to age. I removed the plastic cover and caulked it. Never leaked again.
      My question to you is… does the water also drain from the lower corner of the widow into the cowl that catches the water from the windshield wiper area also? Or does it have its own tubing that goes down to the bottom of the car?

    • @ronbond3777
      @ronbond3777  Před rokem

      @@DobraLLC it has a tube running down out under the dash to the bottom of the car should be on your passenger side under. If you pour water in the area to drain you can see it draining under the vehicle

      Hello Ron, I did buy the S40 and found the problem. The water does not drain directly to the bottom of the car. In each corner of the dashboard there is a rubber tube that connects to a special grommet that drains the water into the cowl. Then the water drains from the cowl which also collects rain water near the windshield wipers and drains it to the bottom of the car.
      In my case, that special grommet was broken and the water was draining straight to the passenger floor. After fixing that with an extended piece of tubing and throwing the grommet away it was leaking into the head liner because the tubing near the sunroof was clogged with debris.

    Ron, My Volvo S60 2013 gets water on the back floor, driver's side. Why does that happen and is it really just these 2 tubes to clear out?

    • @ronbond3777
      @ronbond3777  Před rokem

      Yes absolutely. You have multiple drain tubes that drains your sunroof out. If you have a sunroof then absolutely you need to do this 1st

      @chriskaldywellness4906 you have one on each side where I am showing in the video. Also going straight down between your dash. And firewall. That has to be blown out as well. But the drains start inside the sunroof lip make sure they are cleaned out as well

    Thanks, but our 2007 S60 looks nothing like this inside. Tube is apparently run inside of the A pillar.

      Then you have a clogged AC drain. That is under your carpet. You will have to take out the seats and carpet to find it. It will have 2 white connections going into the floor of the car and a small black hose.

    • @ronbond3777
      @ronbond3777  Před 3 měsíci

      Any time you use the AC or Heat/defroster it will back up. It probably pushed the hose off one of the white connections
