  • In this session we'll show you the different ways cryptography can be subverted by attackers, and look at real case studies of breaches for each risk. In each case study we'll examine the exact cause of the weakness in the way cryptography was deployed, and the consequences and impact for the company that was breached.
    Case studies will include:
    - Capital One: why didn't their cloud encryption protect their data?
    - Uber: how can a hardcoded credential cause a $150M fine?
    - Equifax: what was the role of weak random numbers in the botched recovery?
This webinar was recorded on Feb 10th 2020.

Thanks for uploading a very informative presentation from someone who is clearly an expert. You mentioned cryptographic APIs that are easier to use that OpenSSL (and some research that has been done on ease-of-use) etc. Do you have a link to that research (or even suggestions for use other than OpenSSL). Many thanks

Thanks for your feedback! We have an article on usable cryptography APIs on our blog at cryptosense.com/blog/what-makes-a-usable-crypto-api
