Caught me playing my Nintendo DS in my room later that same day and this man snapped that shit shut like he was hanging up a flip phone after bad phone call. Surprised none of the screens broke

Yes. I was like, I think I'm pregnant. My mom was like gargle with some salt, water and vinegar. My mom believed in vinegar with it. But we never went to the hospital or doctor for anything either. I missed a month of school, lost 30 lbs, had pneumonia but my mom used GARGLING for a month until I finally was well enough to go back to school. And OMG. The "You better be sick too." LOL. That's the truth.

I'm Black, however, I was just like the white mother whenever I took my daughter to the doctor. Way too concerned!!! I am surprised Chris FINALLY revealed what he does at Kaiser. When he was on ZWTH, he always said he was a doctor, and Tahir would say that is not what he did. LOL!!!

That vicks vapor rub was no joke. It was like the holy grille at our house. My mom and dad used it for everything. Now that I'm an adult I now use it religiously. Whoever invented vapor rub should get a medal. That stuff works for just about everything so my momma wasn't lying. Lol 😆🤣😂

Soooooo right I raised 2 boys both in sports from the age of 3 and I'm a nurse. My first aide kit was nyquil and duct tape, they turned out good now 1 will go to the hospital for anything the other will continue my teachings lol got it from my momma.😂😂😂😂I barely keep tylenol in the house. I fractured my elbow in 3 places the doc knows me too well. He new I wouldn't take anything so he told me he could give me a sling for $30, $30 I have a scarf at home. Lol the stories I could tell but hey it healed just as well. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

You don't know how true this is. I am 76 years old and have been a Kaiser member since 1974. My cardiologist says I need to go in ASAP to get an angiogram because my heart is not pumping properly.. That was 3 months ago and I have been putting it off. I Have to have one foot on a banana peel and the other one in the casket before I go to the doctor. I advise you all to get to the doctor when you feel ill. I put it off in 2016 and spent a week in the hospital.
Same...unless I feel like I'm dying...I refuse to seek medical attention.

If your from a black family & your mom cane from the south all these home remedies (and there are more) are pretty common, we all have stories like he’s telling, because our parents didn’t go to the doctor or hospital for many reasons. Especially if they grew up in the south during him crow! My mother was our dentist and doctor! She swore that cod liver oil & salt water, vicks rub cured everything. I got to tell you, it was 5 of us and we never had colds , the flu or any viruses growing up , so something was credible about that cod liver oil! If we got sick , they didn’t believe us so we had to go to school and have the nurse tell her we needed to go home 😂 😆 😝
