I purchased one of these (they're even more expensive in Canadian dollars!) and I won't go back. On my recent trip I used the Luna side burner that I added on as an 'extra'. I had all three burners going at the same time. We tend to eat fancier than just hotdogs when camping.
I would highly recommend that you add the Luna, it's great for boiling water for coffee or adding another small pot. You don't have to even open the Genesis for it to work. The gas pass through works whether it is open or closed. Also, if you have a larger propane tank -like a 5, 10 or 20 lb, using a simple converter hose with 1lb bottle thread you won't run out of fuel anytime soon. You can sit the tank on the ground clearing up space on your cooking surface. I've heard reports that the igniters can fail but mine are still working fine.
When everything works, is compact and rugged, it is money well spent.

I've had mine for about 8 months now. I live in a van fulltime and the Jetboil system is my only cooking stove. I have some pros and cons about it. First the price was painful, but I feel as though this is a tiny bit offset by how long a 1lb tank lasts me. I cook twice a day almost everyday and in 8 months I have only changed my tank out 3 times. As for cons, I can not stand the placement for the propane tank. The lid to my pot melted on one side somehow ( it's still usable though). The right burner will no longer light itself, I have to light it with a ligther. I think the most annoying is..... it puts out a lot of heat but just in the middle. It does not disperse the heat like I thought it would. Now I do love the frying pan, especially the handle. It cleans easy and stores nicely. I keep the system on the counter while I'm not in motion and I flip the burners onto each other and stack the pots on top. The burners cool down VERY quickly, which is nice, no accidental burns. You can also add more burner systems from the right side and you could add a larger tank with the right adapter. After 8 months it has held up pretty well and it cleans up very easily. I am happy with my purchase. I hope this helps anyone on the fence ! P.S. I have been camping and outdoorsing (lol) since I was 5. Out of all the stoves, fires and camp cooking I've done, this stove is the best.

Great review on the JetBoil Genesis... Just purchased a BRS-32 stove for a fraction of this and I love it. The foot print is tiny!

I have a stove but like your gerber utensil set up. I almost just bought but if you had an affiliate link I’d get it there

So no top for the pan or the pot at $399.oo? No,thanks. Coleman makes a dual burner w a windscreen which may not be as powerful, but it does the job at only about $40.oo at WalMart.

Yeah for sure, totally get it’s not for everyone. Nothing wrong with good old Coleman. I’m pretty excited about it though.

Anything is nice if it's free. I hate these stupid reviews because really they are dishonest. Dishonest in the fact that you are reviewing it as if it's free (because it was) and not if you had to pay over $400 for the stove and $$ for the Gerber stuff. It's a very cool stove that's for sure but would you have paid for it with your own $$ ? No you wouldn't have because you would have already had it if you did. People have to readjust their brains on what it means to get outdoors and stop thinking you need all of this latest expensive shit no matter how nice it is. Anyone notice how e-bikes are the latest must have for "overlanders" 🤡 Trendy AF! All that being said it's cool you got one sent out for free. 👍

Hello friend and welcome to the channel. You might have missed it but first thing I said was that I hadn’t bought it myself because of the $400 price tag.
I have been camping my whole life on basic 2 burner camp stoves and there is nothing wrong with that and I cover more budget friendly camping gear all the time. Good expensive gear is worth covering too.
And yes sometimes video creators get paid with gear, which is awesome because a lot of work goes into these videos (about 20-30 hours a week for me personally) and camping gear is a great way to get paid for someone who loves camping. I will always be honest in my videos just like this one though.
