The start of the endless summer of 76. My cousins from America came over and joined us on the Isle of Man. I think they thought it was like that every year!

The Goodies at 11:00, Bouncing around like good'uns and teasing Tony Blackburn again. Love how the director cut to a perplexed little girl turning to her mum/gran for an explanation of the crumpet joke.

Remember my trips to blackpool when all we could afford was an afternoon in Blackpool with a budget of about a fiver that was a holiday.

I've got the record of "get a little sand between your toes" by new edition that was used later for the shows theme tune.

This was pretty awful in parts. Ken Dodd superb as usual - that's why he lasted so long because talent always shines through, but so much of what was shown here was just terrible. The Goodies song - not even worth being a B Side - didn't chart and was the beginning of the end of their "singing" careers. And what were Showaddywaddy doing? Thankfully "Trocadero" (No 32 in the charts) was followed by some of their finest hits.
