Growing Fish - Channel Cats (Chesapeake Hatchery)

(Mar - Oct) -- MDC staff at the Chesapeake Fish Hatchery near Mt. Vernon take special care to grow channel catfish for eventual stocking in public lakes throughout Missouri.
Channel catfish grow quickly in MDC’s hatchery system and can be stocked at the end of only one season.
