I love how the song fits Arven and his journey so much, as well as the games theme of friendship and relationships. Paldea has one of the best stories in the franchise and im so glad i got to experience it.
i luv arven and team star's story at one point i actually cried which i thought would never do in a pokemon playthrough its so heartwarming
I felt so awful for arven that his dad had to leave well his ai dad and also my heart melted his partner Pokémon was all better I have the violet version that’s why I picked the dad
I had a friend who passed away recently, he really loved pokemon, I feel a connection to him through this song some how. Its a wonderful song.

I was not expecting this for a credits song and it works well for it, and this song hits me on multiple levels.
Same here! I got all the feels once I beat Pokémon Violet and heard this song playing when the credits rolled. I never felt this emotional from the story of a Pokémon game, aside from possibly the Delta Episode in Omega Ruby (the cutscenes after the Deoxys battle, especially the Brendan + May scene in the Mossdeep Space Center watching the meteor shower, did it for me there). I don't want to spoil the story of Scarlet and Violet for those who haven't played it yet, but although I had a lot of happy/content emotions, there was also a sense of sadness involved too, namely as a result of the Arven/Professor plot. Quite deep stuff for a Pokémon game, with what I felt was an interesting reference to transhumanism, namely mind uploading.
That said, I know Ed Sheeran did this song as a Pokémon collaboration, so part of me thought it might have a chance of appearing in Scarlet and Violet. Lyrical music isn't usually seen in Pokémon games, so it was a pleasant surprise to hear something different. I actually felt a sense of disappointment (coming off of an emotional high?) when this song ended and "regular" instrumental music played towards the end of the credits.

I am 28 yo and I've been a pokemon fan since my childhood. I finished my Violet playthrough a couple of hours ago. This song hitted right in the feelings. I am surprised by the risks Pokemon Company took with this game, and the choice of this song for the credits is one of them. The game has notorious room for improvement, but averall goes in my top 3 pokemon games.

Scarlet and Violet actually are my third favorite games in the franchise, the Gen 5 games are my absolute favorites with Legends Arceues being a close second
Absolutely agree. I recently turned 30 & I too just finished my Violet playthrough. It's going to be so difficult for Gamefreak to one-up S/V with Gen 10, assuming Gen 10 does happen. This is by far the most enjoyable Pokemon experience I've had in years, after OR/AS. Definitely 10/10.

I just completed Pokémon Violet today and gosh… what a flood of emotions. Spoiler warning below so please don’t read on otherwise.
I clicked with Arven from the very beginning; he and I both share an estranged relationship with our fathers. Seeing his mixed reactions from resentment for his father Turo, to yearning for a bond between father and son resonated deep within me.
I also did not expect to share with Arven the loss of both our fathers. Both killed in an accident.
When Turo’s feelings came through the AI upon confessing to Arven, that broke me. I was crying and cheering that Arven got some closure with his father- something I never got with my old man.
It was beautiful, the story touched my heart in a way I didn’t expect. And I will treasure that feeling.

When I first saw Arven and the first thing he did was yell at Miraidon and tell me and Nemona to shove off, I figured he was gonna be the asshole rival of the game like Blue or Silver, but he must have just really badly misinterpreted our intentions in that moment because boy did he turn things around, and now he and his sammidges and fab hair and sweet heart are my fave character in the game 💖 Asdfghjkl why can't the people I attempt to date in real life be more like himmm lol

I’m in the category that never knew about it until literally the end of the game. Despite the bugs the games are suffering from, they’re really great and I never had any complaints other than some animation and rendering issues.

That ending paired with this song got me in my emotions HARD started tearing up realizing no matter the ups and downs I had in life all those that had come and gone there was 1 constant and that was actually Pokemon. Cheesy I know but it helped when family members, pets or friends passed away, when I was overseas away from family in friends and when I was at my lowest points.

My best friend who came over to my house for a few days watched the final battle against AI Turo and the ending credits with me. She cried and I held it in, held her hand and gave her hugs. A lot of us playing Pokemon now are troubled adults with questionable mental health. I think this song reminded us that there's still happiness to find in life, no matter where we currently may be.
As i finished playing Scarlet i literally cried. Area Zero, the sudden plot, rethinking Arvens fate and all the „What if“ questions i had…. Then the song. I knew that this song was made for Pokémon but it totally caught me off guard and i love it. The lyric just fits perfectly with the entire Game… I just love it 10/10 what a masterpiece..

I just finished pokemon Scarlet last night.... It gave me the feels for sure😅I just love Nemona, Arven, and Penny's character development in the game. It was mostly the scene where Arven in Area Zero was saying "why are you leaving? Where are you going?" to his mom, even though it was an AI because his mother died that really got me. And the fact that she put her work over her own son, and died protecting her work... Meanwhile her son was left almost abandoned..... The song though..... Afterall the characters had to go through; this song fit very well.
I wasn't expecting this to play as the end credits and for the first time, I teared up. It was like I understood the lyrics and thought about my whole play through.

I love this song so much, when it played in my game I was all like "Omg the credits have actual lyrics now!", the song's space theme does seem weirdly at odds with the game's actual themes of past and future (it's giving me more Sinnoh vibes), but it makes me wish even more that I could meet Nemona, Arven and Penny (but in their 20s like me) and a bunch of awesome Pokémon and go on adventures with them in real life 💖 I've read that the very first fan mod ever made for this game is the removal of this song from the credits, and as much as people are entitled to their opinions (A) How can people seriously dislike this song? (B) If they don't want to hear it, why don't they just...mute the game and play something else over the credits on another device? 😂
The main issue with the credits is the potential DMCA takedown request waiting for who is streaming their playthrough. Other than that its just new for Pokemon to do this so they have to dislike it instantly.

ngl, didn't really cared much about this song. I mean it's good and all but it wasn't until I finished Pokémon SV's story where this hits hard and I truly appreciate the message here. Seriously, one of the best Pokémon game in terms of story and characters despite the glitches and poor framerate ( which didn't really bother me as I played from start to end) and this song just makes it even better.
25 years ago, we started with 8 bit Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle. Here now, we have greatly animated Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly. I loved Violet plot and this credit song is amazing! 🤩 I can’t wait to see gen 10 idea and region!

I’ve never cried because of a game or song before. I’ve never played a Pokemon game before and built my own team. However, I’ve been watching the anime series since D&P aired. Pokemon has brought me joy like no other before. Words cannot describe the happiness it gives me.
When I finally decided to buy Pokemon Violet I got hooked. Right off the bat. The characters are so damn well written I literally can’t with myself. The story was as good as it could get. All of the protagonists together to save the Paldea region but also learning about them in more depth is just amazing.
I even got so attached with the Pokemon I had, that I would say out loud “Way to go!” when they landed a crit. Then the credits came… Oh boy. It hit me right in the heart. I know it’s a game and all but it made me think back to my whole Pokemon journey and how much joy it gives me.

I know this was a year ago, but I just finished doing the ending part where Arven finds out his father passed. Man, I loved the dude. I’m glad he got that closure and I wish I could go to that world to see him happy again. I will forever cherish Pokémon Violet even if I’m 20 years old. Pokémon is and always has been a part of me.

I will admit, I did feel sad that my journey had come to an end, because aside from sw/sh this one held a special place in my heart. I took a break from Pokemon for the first time in my life from Red to Ultra Moon, I skipped Gen 8 and came to Gen 9 just a few weeks ago.
This song hit me like a truck without a Mew. To me, it's about my Pokemon, many of them still with me from 2004.

this really gave me a shock when i finished my play through of scarlet yesterday because a pokemon game’s credits has always been instrumental, never lyrical. I wasn’t sobbing or crying but i somehow felt touched by how beautiful it was, the song correlated to the game and it made me feel quite sad for some reason after realising that i had really finished the game. It was the same feeling I had after completing pokemon white as that game was perfection and i got sad when i finished that because the story was great and scarlets was just like that - fab. Now, i have violet to complete now but this song was just a great way to end the game off with. Long comment but omg scarlet was amazing hopefully violets the same.

I loved this song before I playing scarlet, as it reminded me of playing Pokémon Blue in my childhood. Having beat the story today; what a perfect ending to a beautiful journey. This captured the finale and every character arc perfectly. Having heard it in a new light brought tears to my eyes. Absolute magic ❤
This song hit hard at the end of Pokémon Violet and Scarlet for me. Legit had flashbacks of all the different adventures my team and I went on 😊. Thank you Ed Sheeran, and all those who game the game possible.

Scarlet and Violet definitely have a lot of room for improvement, but my overall experience with the games were incredibly fun! Paldea is definitely one of my most favorite regions, and this was a great ending theme in my opinion!
Fuck man… Finished Pokemon Violet today happy and amazed by how great this game is. It deserves so much more credit for the amazing story. When this played during the end credits I was so surprised and emotional. I’ve heard it before play on the radio but never knew it was a collab along with the Pokemon Company. Holy christ this song describes Pokemon. Literally… Even though it’s not real I got so attached to the characters and my Pokemon, that I’d yell out “Way to go!” when my Pokemon landed crits.
This song describes it so well. The development you and your Pokemon go through. The ups and downs. It all comes full cirkle. I myself can relate a lot of the lyrics irl and damn now I’m crying lol. Truly amazing. Thank you!

Despite the performance issues and lag, I had a lot of fun playing Scarlet. The story itself was phenominal. As well as the characters. And I can't wait for the dlc.
This may be the credits song to Scarlet and Violet, but I swear this was 100% written with Ash and Pikachu in mind. A celebration of 25+ years of adventures together, now that the story is at a turning point. It's nostalgic, sad and exhilarating at the same time. ❤

Ed Sheeran & Pokemon are 2 things I never expected to go together but I'm here for it!
So I lost my 3ds and all my games with my pokemon and I feel terrible inside because I know that the pokemon I have today will never compare to your originals in attachment despite their better ivs. When my brother asked me if I still had it I felt instant regret knowing that I could've taken it with me, but I decided not to. This song came on when he asked me about it. Maybe the memories were a treasure within itself.
If I had a nickel for every open world video game that came out this November that everyone thought was gonna be trash but turned out to be divisive because of technical problems, but had a banger story and a banger end credits theme, Id have two nickels, and I want more
I don't care what ppl say about the new Pokémon games, it doesn't matter which graphical design they use, it doesn't matter what console the games come out on, it doesn't matter what new Pokémon the company creates. In the end, it's still the same Pokémon we all grew up loving, the generations after us will look at these games and will know that this is the place where our hearts all came together to form this great community and this wonderful franchise and I'm proud to say, that this was my childhood.

I'll be honest I wasn't expecting to feel feels for Arven's story during Pokemon Violet, especially since I could relate to his story quite closely.
Then this song comes on and it's Niagara Falls, since this song felt like a tribute to Arven coming to terms with how his life is and will be.
