- Talita has been open for four years and it’s near Dollywood on Veterans Blvd. A hole in the wall restaurant that is family run and boy the staff is amazing and so is the food!
Why we haven’t been here before we don’t know. But having been to Talita now we can tell you wow! Everything was good and we want you to go give it a try! Tell them Brooks and Christy say hello 😊

So, I was loving the soup right up until the half of fish, with bones. I don't know if I would order that again. But the pork, beans and rice, oh yeah. That looks so good. Love the decor of the place, really cool. And I love the shirt "Dog Mom". Great video. Now I will have to go out for Mexican food soon. My mouth was watering while watching this

I imagine the tortillas were freshly made too. I really like the way you make your videos feel like I am right there, even though I am clear across the country. I appreciate that you two do a lot of the locally owned restaurants instead of all of the chains. Where is your favorite restaurant in the area for a family lunch with kids? I would love to try this as long as its not made with crab in the broth because im allergic. I would love to try this restaurant if they offered a traditional kids menu. Everything looks so good. So glad you are back. Did the restaurant have pupasa. I recommend the bean and cheese. They usually serve it with slaw and salsa. The soup definitely wouldn't be something we would like. Not fish people.

Saw this coming out of Dollywood but never gave it too much thought. The food looks good. Definitely going to have to give it the Mexican taste test next time I'm in the area. Also, love how you are going to local places giving them some much needed love.

Great Video y’all. I went to Doraville Georgia a few years ago. It was amazing to me how many authentic Mexican and Central American restaurants were along The Buford Highway between Northeast Atlanta and Doraville. I would love to go back sometime.

What is a carnita?
Barb it’s good to be back 😊. So a carnita is pork that is either braised or slow roasted and it’s usually shredded. Crispy outside with a melt in your mouth inside. It’s so good

I used to make homemade caldo de Cameron, but never with the shell on or fish with bones but you are supposed to add your sides ( jalapeños, rice, cilantro, etc., including the lime juice) in your soup and roll your tacos and dip in your soup!
This is more authentic homemade Mexican/Honduran
I would definitely try it because I love authentic Mexican/homestyle, I used to make a lot before!
