Always enjoy Brooks and his recollections of the area and how it used to be. I remember a lot going back to about 1979, but Brooks manages to point out things that are long forgotten. My husband and I also lost our precious daughter who was an RN with a BSN. so early in life! Horrible Divorce and had to fight for her 3 boys! Eventually took her life! We miss her so very much! Yall are not alone for sure!

Yes to the pepper on eggs. No, to ketchup on eggs, but YES to hot sauce on eggs.
I have those salt and pepper shakers with a lid and a notch to open them. Up here in northern Michigan, older homes, such as ours, don't have air conditioning because we really only have a handful of days per year where we would need it. So, we live with natural humidity in our houses. That means our salt clumps up in the salt shakers, even with rice in the shaker. That little spring-loaded lid on the salt shaker protects the salt from becoming a big wet block in the shakers. Works like a charm. I get them from Amazon.

We call them pancakes here in eastern Ky. You definitely have to try the Log Cabin Pancake house in Gatlinburg and get the silver dollar blueberry pancakes…..they are amazing! Oh and we love Hunt’s ketchup here in Ky.

I call them pancakes, and y’all’s looked delicious! As for the ketchup, it’s Hunt’s for us. Unfortunately we had a bad experience at the Sevierville location of Flapjacks, and had said that we’d never go back. That was the first and only time we’d been there. After watching your review I’d like to give the Gatlinburg location a try. Thanks for the great video!

We make a point to visit Flapjack's every time we're in the Smokies. We like the one at the Parkway, right before entering the park on the way to Pigeon Forge. My go-to meal is the Sticky Bun pancakes. There is nothing like those anywhere else in the world!!

My Grandmommy M was from KY She use to called them GriddleCakes. For us here in Ohio, It's Pancakes and Heinz here,although sometimes Hunt's ketchup. Our Family is split 1/2 on the ketchup choice, haha!

In Canada, the word we use is pancake; and as for ketchup, all through my childhood we used Heinz. There may be French's, but I've never had it. Those pancakes looked delish...there aren't many pancake houses in Ottawa, so all three of the pancakes you bought were new to me. I will remember that when and if I ever travel....I will have pancakes for sure!

I've enjoyed your channel. Really helped me decide where to eat. Been to gatlinburg many times, but not in the last 10 yrs. Although, coming there in 2 weeks! Staying at a cabin in Sevierville. Have you done a review on the Brazilian restaurant? I've been on the carnivore diet for 8 months. All I eat is meat. Healthy as a horse, lost 25 lbs, and 46 yrs old. Thanks for the videos!

I live in Western Pennsylvania and we say, pancakes.
It was always Heinz being close to Pittsburgh however Red Gold is now the best as is Red Gold other tomato products.
I also converted to Dukes Mayo but it’s not available in all stores in my area.

Everything looked delicious! I like my eggs over medium too. I have always called the "flat cakes" pancakes, but I actually prefer waffles over pancakes. I don't know if I've ever tried French's ketchup, so it's not a Southern thing. Just in case you're wondering, I do prefer Heinz over Hunts😁

French's ketchup is made in Canada. Huntz ketchup is a made in California. And Heinz ketchup is made in Ohio and Iowa.

When I think of French's I think of mustard. When I think of Heinz I think of Heinz 57 sauce. So I guess Hunts would be ketchup the southern way

I used to like Hunts ketchup always then as I got older I stopped liking it because it was more sweet.

We've been to several pancake houses in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, & Sevierville over the years and our whole family fell in love with the Pancake Pantry! I had my first "food-gasm" when I tasted the French Toast at the Pantry. Have you guys ever done a review there? The food looks good at Flapjack's & we enjoyed your video on them tonight.

I didn't know that there was a pancake week in the Smokies. We missed it. 😭 Everything looks delicious. I know you guys are local but I would love to see you guys put out a video of great and affordable hotels in the area. Especially around Thanksgiving time. Do you think it's worth it to stay at one of the Dollywood resorts or is it better to stay somewhere cheaper? I bought a season pass and we are planning to come up on Thanksgiving and go to Dollywood for our first time trip for the Christmas festival the day after Thanksgiving and the next day. The biscuits and gravy at chubby's last week was absolutely amazing.
It was all so good! The Dreammore and Heartsong are both very nice!

Probably only have two or three opportunities to go out for breakfast so I want to choose wisely. We are in NE Ohio and have always called them pancakes. Our area is well known for maple syrup.

Heinz ketchup and of course pancakes🤣🤣. Those pancakes looked so good. Quick question. Do those pancakes come with the skillets or are they two different entrees? It just looked like so much food. Also are the pancake balls given to everyone or do you order them separately. Sorry I know so many questions. We are coming with our grown sons in early May who have enormous appetites and are looking for good food that will fill them up.

Have always called them PANCAKES 🥞 The naming FLAPJACKS must have been a mountain thing. Ketchup favorite for me has to be HEINZ. Hunts to me has more acidity than any brand. FRENCH'S has no place but on Mustard and I have noticed in different restaurants they all serve different kinds of Ketchup some are just generic. Huddle House has a 5 gallon bucket of Ketchup-no brand-and just refill the Hunts bottle as it gets low..
