Michael, Greg… hear me out. I feel like this podcast needs to be a once a month, “slice of life”, catch up and just talk.
I follow you guys everywhere else, but the podcasts just hit different.

im 18 minutes into your review. and i have two things to say. 1: i |LOVE how you point out the terrible fandom that is the star wars fanbase. they are next to impossible to please. and it sucks because ive been a fan since i was a young boy and grew up watching the movies and later the animated shows that expand the universe. and it amazes me that everyone misses the point of star wars. its about family and friends fighting the good fight. mando and boba are no exception. 2: i LOVE that you guys understood the purpose of this show. you guys hit the notes that ive been trying to convince people about this show. its about bobas life change during his near death experience and the shift into how the ending of this story will shift into the future of these shows tie in. i truly believe that boba will eventually become a mandalorian.

I also love Cobb but I think mostly because it is basically just him reprising his character from Justified and maybe to a lesser extent Deadwood.

Missed y’all glad you’re back
Glad to see you guys back at it! I'm glad to see you guys post a positive review of this show...even with critiques. The only parts of this show I did not care for are the slow speed chase and the vespas. The slow speed chase might of been showing a limitation of the volume and the vespas just looked out of place in Mos Espa...would blend in perfectly on Coruscant.
Overall I thought the show was really good. There's a lot of setup in this and reminds me of shows like Babylon 5 or the Expanse...their first seasons were bit of a slow burn, but they were introducing story elements that were paid of in seasons 3 or 4! This show started with Boba Fett taking Jabba's old throne and by Chapter 7, he earned it! I look forward to seeing where this story goes. I think they are setting Boba Fett up as the Talon Karrde character from Timothy Zahn's Heir to the Empire series....a story that the Disney+ shows (with the exception of Kenobi) are going to tell.

About Star Wars, someone recently pointed out that Grogu's age allows him to have all the adventures with the Mandalorian we could want - and eventually go the route where Rey could be his Jedi master... Her yellow saber and his silver or yellow one. Such a good time to be a fan. And how about the 501st scene!!!
Really enjoyed hearing y’all’s thoughts. I have some different opinions and for the most part agree but I liked hearing what worked and didn’t work for y’all.

We all love to complain. But it’s harder to constructively critique. I had major issues with the sequel trilogy but I still love Star Wars. I love the sequel characters and felt they were not given enough time and space to be the characters they were envisioned to be.
Same here with Boba. I didn’t like the directing or parts of the plot but I enjoyed the unpacking of the character. This is a great time for starwars!

Guys, I missed you, so so much. I'm so sorry about all you went through, Michael. While you say the universe "rewarded" you for having to do the right thing and re-home your dog, the Force did something for me, though. I lost my 20 year old cat in October, and I didn't want another one. Was completely against it. But my husband wanted one. I was able to hold him off for 2 months, and then he started sending me pictures of cute cats in shelters and I still did NOT want one. And then at one point, I saw one. Love at first sight. And then I saw her name. Padmé. I said Ok, I can't ignore this sign or the universe will punish me. So we rescued her. And she is a little demon. When I get really really mad at her, I'm like Padmé Amidala-Skywalker-Rainville-Goudreau, that's Enough!"

I think its important to understand Boba is a clone. The same heart as rex. This is kind of Boba's own specific story of his personal journey that brought him to the place where we see rex in rebels. I really appreciate how they brought Boba closer to the personality of the clones. They are IDENTICAL dna!
