Thank you for highlighting that it’s important not to tie all of your happiness based on one thing! My family went to Disney last summer, my family’s first trip and my second trip (I hadn’t been since 2004, and had been dreaming of Disney for almost 20 years!). I was soooo looking forward to RotR during our HS day, and sadly that day it was broken down until almost 5pm. By the time it came back online there was literally a 3+ hour wait! I was disappointed, but otherwise perhaps would not have ridden Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway- which ended up being my family’s favorite!! ❤️
Rise of Resistance is notorious for that 😩 But, oh my goodness, I LOVE Runaway Railway SO MUCH! Glad you got to experience it!!

Star tours is my 5 year Olds favorite ride. We would never skip it

About VQ and dining reservations! My last trip I had scored a Space 220 reservation last minute, but while I was in Epcot the next morning, I got a notification that I had gotten in Cosmic Rewind’s virtual queue- for the same time as my reservation! I was so worried, but I talked to the folks outside Space 220 and they let me know that I was all good. Since I had told them, they could notify… whoever’s in charge of all that… and I could enjoy Cosmic Rewind during my window. They said it happens all the time! So yeah, if you read this and this happens to you, don’t worry! You’re all good. Just figured I’d throw that out there :)

FYI, NEVER plug your phone into a company USB port. There are lots of reports out there that these things syphon your data.
While that may well be true, it does sound a little bit like something a conspiracy theorist might say.
Are there any reputable sources that have reported this?
@@EightThreeEight since the term “conspiracy theorist” and its variations are a made up term by the CIA in the 60’s to disparage and discredit dissenting voices why not look it up instead of being a mark. A quick search brings up multiple computer magazine and antivirus sites with one even commenting that the FBI advises “Don’t plug your phone into a free charging station, warns FBI”.
I will regret nothing. My bank account however will🤣🤣🤣

I am so excited for Tiana’s - she is my favorite! For my Tiana trip I am thinking park hoppers, that way if I don’t get in on the first time I can try try again. Also contemplating a deluxe/moderate split stay - with the Deluxe stay coinciding with MK extra magic hours. I am crazy and determined. 😂

AJ, I thought they removed this Disney resort channel to listen to the instrumental channels after they remodeled the rooms. Are you telling me it’s still there?
8 days til my trip and believe me I have been hammering home most of these, but ESPECIALLY the chargers!! I bought a fuel rod in the park last year because I didn’t know I could buy them in advance, but this year I’m bringing that plus at least one other portable that I have just in case I wind up killing my rod while I’m in line for a ride.

A note on Virtual queues. We went to the MK on Saturday, I tried the 7 am queue and it filled up in less than a second. At 1 pm, we hit that Virtual Queue with no issues and rode the Tron coaster around 6:45 that evening!
I refuse to pay for a single lightning lane.

Keep watching DFB videos and make a list of dining options. It will be a long list. Once you arrive try to do one new restaurant or walk up bar each day. Your list won’t be completed. More reason to go again in the future.

I love these videos, but I am priced out of WDW. I'm near being priced out of Disneyland, CA at this point.
I agree with the charger thing I can’t live without my phone I’m always on my phone so much so every time I travel to Disney I never forget my charger
Here at Shanghai Disneyland there are phone charger vending machines all over the place that you can rent for roughly 20 cents an hour. It’s such a god send, you can carry them anywhere. If you accidentally take it home it’ll charge you roughly $60 automatically.

Here’s one I’d argue to not have a regret: doing anything that’ll delay you’re entrance. If you have a phone bank, eyeglass case I’d phone, take them out of our backpack/purse/pocket and hold them out as you head through the scanners.
Mom had wanted to see the ropedrop ceremony but missed out on it because she left the phone bank and sunglasses case in her backpack.
Yes -- very good tip! Sometimes I still get pulled out of the line for a bag search, but this has worked for lots of folks!
Definitely take eye glass cases and umbrellas out of your bag and hold them in front of you as you go through security. Additionally if there are two lines at security choose the line with the older security person that is monitoring the line. I’ve found that younger less experienced employees often pull more people aside for additional screening.
"Not bringing your whole family". Where it is so much fun going with your family, solo trips are A M A Z I N G and I would strongly recommend doing this. I'm going on my second solo trip next January 😍

Two months till my trip - I always have my soar electronic cords and chargers and suck in a bag specifically for my phone, camera and GoPro and a spare portable charger - strictly for travel so I never move or forget anything for my electronics - may be helpful to have a bag for travel
We usually roll in with 4k to play with and don’t care what it costs, if you want that little treat or toy just get it. We’ve never spent more than 500 of that but not caring about money is such a relief.
Can’t that be like a downfall for people who don’t have smart phones ? Can’t get in a virtual line haha
If table service is a priority for you then go for it , BUT , there are such great snacks and you will have so much more park time. That's just my preference though.

We went in August 2021 for our son’s birthday (his first trip). It was 102° outside and they were requiring people to wear masks. I thought we would all drop dead from the heat. We are going back in January so hopefully it will be a more pleasant experience.

With past experience over several visits in the last year I can say Virtual Queue WILL disappoint 9/10 times. Virtual Queued rides you have your heart set on riding, you should plan on paying extra for. Time=Money, especially at Disney. The time and frustration spent trying to get into the virtual queue is not worth the money saved. It is THE most frustrating aspect of going to Disney, imho.

When you buy individual lightning lanes is it for the whole party or just 1 person. We're a party of 4 and haven't bought I LL's before.
Hi! ILLs are priced per person, per single ride-through. So, for example, if you’re buying Flight of Passage ILLs for a family of four for $11, then that’d be $44 total for the whole group to go.

According to our travel agent, I can’t link my park ticket or magic band because we’re not staying at a Disney hotel. We have to wait til we’re physically in the park and go to guest services. Everything’s in my mom’s phone. Now I have to use her phone to do genie plus. (since we’ll have to do that before entering) Does this make ANY sense??🥺
I linked accounts and tickets with friends in advance last summer just fine without being a guest of a Disney Resort.
You could potentially get her log-in info and use whatever device you wanted; I do this for my wife so we can split up with the kids. Guest services is usually super quick, I wouldn't worry about that. I think family members can be linked together and share everything, too, but I've never had to do it. Might be worth giving WDW a call, or asking planDisney.

Use a travel agent who specializes in Disney. General travel agents might not be familiar with Disney. Since Disney oay the commission, many agents do not charge you fir their services. The best agents act as a concierge would and are available throughout your trip.
