  • In the final days of the war, as part of the Federal breakthrough at Petersburg, Confederate Lt. Gen. A.P. Hill was shot and killed by a pair of Union soldiers. Pamplin Historical Park historian Tim Talbott takes Emerging Civil War's Chris Mackowski to the spot where Hill died.

    The American Battlefield Trust is a fantastic organization. I am proud to be a member. Not only do they obtain historic ground for its preservation. They also have terrific educational programs as well.
